I watched the CMA’s and agree with those above who think Kellie should have won over Taylor Swift. Even though pitchy, Kellie has the “it” factor and has really really improved since idol. Even my handyman who is a BIG country fan thinks she is more fun to watch than Carrie Underwood. He loves Pickler. I think her career is only going to continue to soar and I do see her eventually having a TV series, but I admire her for pursuing her dreams as a country singer. I also didn’t like her on Idol but love her now. Good for her!!!!

yea, a lot of personality and charisma can make up for a deficit of talent. I couldn’t stand her on AI, but I think she is a hoot as a personality! I second that she needs a tv show.

And looking at that photo, goodness me! If you stand close enough to her, can you hear the sound of the ocean?? That’s some chest!

I’ll be in Gulf Shores, Alabama during the week surrounding Memorial Day. Kellie Pickler and Taylor Swift will be at the Wharf on Sunday night. I can’t wait. Since Taylor is the headliner, I can hear Kellie and then just leave!

Taylor’s real claim to fame seems to be as a song writer. Not sure how she got the performing part in there, but she started really young trying to sell her songs. She and Kellie collaborated on a song for Kellie’s new album and have become really good friends because they toured together with Kenny Chesney or Brad Paisley. Can’t remember which one. Anyway, I don’t know if this is the song they wrote together or not.

I did watch some of the show and caught Kellie’s and Taylor’s performances. I didn’t like Kellie’s hair and agree about the pitchy parts but thought she’s come a long way from the show. I know nothing about Taylor but hated her song and thought she sounded like a not that great pop singer rather than country.

Agree with you guys on that one for sure. Where did they even find this Swift girl – she’s not very good at all.

And, Skylight – I’m with you on the fact that Carrie should take some performance lessons from Kellie. Carrie may sell a lot of CD’s, but she’s still a robot.

I just think Kellie needs her own tv show, because I would totally watch that.

Agree with the hair not looking too good on stage.

As much as I’ve loathed Kelly during her actual run on the Idol stage, I’ve grown to have such a liking for the girl. You just can’t help but find her adorable.

And pitchy or not, Kelly(anyone at that matter) deserves an award over Taylor Swift. Ugh.

Not the best performance, but what a wonderfully positive message to be putting out there for girls! Should hit one part of her fan demographic perfectly for summer.

Skylight, completely agree with you about Taylor Swift. I’ve yet to see a performance of hers that I’ve enjoyed. I’ll take Kellie over her any day!

I didn’t care much for this song, but, I do love her stage presence. I’m talking to you, Carrie Underwood, watch and learn. She’s delightful to watch.

And, I can’t stand Taylor Swift. That girl can’t sing. Ugh!

I love Kellie and yes, she was off pitch and, while her hair looks nice in the photo posted, it stunk on stage, along with her neutral makeup — get some color going !

I still think she’s a prime example of personality tempering talent. She’s just so likeable !
