I was never really a Kellie fan when she was on Idol, but I enjoyed her on the Idols tour, and she’s grown on me even more nowadays.

It’s good to see her on the Opry stage. I think she’s grown a lot as a performer…and I’m not just talking about her chest. Heh. :wink1_tb:

I wasn’t a fan of Kellie’s on the show either. Her voice still doesn’t quite cut it for me (the second song was really hard to listen to), but I think she has a brilliant personality that works well on talk shows and game shows like Are You Smarter than a Fifth Grader? heh ;)

I think she’s a natural for comedy. I’m not a huge fan of her voice but I love her personality… the girl is funny!

Kellie is one of the smartest scatterbrains we’ll ever run into. She’s country savvy and very cute to boot!

While watching her tonight I really have to give her kudo’s on what she wears. Nothing over the top, sometimes not exciting but generally clean and simple. Sure beats prom gowns.

I always loved Kellie. She is a good solid performer. Her voice may not be perfect, but she is interesting to watch on the stage. Not boring at all. I love Didn’t You Know…..

The other thing is that Kellie is real country to me, the songs, the execution. She’s not a pop singer, and not trying to be.

As for her enhancements, truly it shows she really needed them there is nothing over the top about them. She didn’t try to be a DD cup. They fit her petite body.

Does anyone else feel like we are in a time warp?

I know nothing about country music, but maybe someone can answer this question for me: what is special about the Grand Ole Opry? Is getting to perform there some kind of a special honor; in other words, are the performers there supposed to be a cut above your average country performer? Because it seems to me that lately, any schlep who releases a country CD gets to perform there, even if they, well, suck (and while Kellie doesn’t suck, I’d hardly count her among the pantheon of great country artists). Country music seems generally more accepting of new artists than other genres do, which is good, but there’s also a lot of bad country music out there. So anyone who knows more than I on this subject, please feel free to chime in :)

The Grand Ol’ Opry has history to it and probably is like a baceball player making it to the allstar game but better .I think it maybe dimished a little bit because thier letting allot new singers with little history sing thier. I do not know maybe more to do with mula or thier representatives. I do think being asked to be a member like Carrie U is still a great honor .

Kellie has spunky, fun personality not a great voise and can not shake the idea that the producers of Ai or management thought she was the next Carrie U which turned out is not in terms of sales. The surprise one is Taylor Swift whom did manged to crossover and was not on a tv show but still no Carrie u.(unfortately being on Ai can be a slight drawback in some circles). Kellie is still young I can see the comparisons with Dolly but only in personality when it comes to voice Dolly is on another level.

I love Kellie and wish her only the best. She looks fantastic and seems as if she is grateful for her success. She’s a doll. You go girl.

I love Kellie. Its true that the opry lets new and nonmember singers perform there. Performers receive only token payment for their performances and consider it an honor to perform there. The opry is almost sacred to country music fans. Google it and its membership. the opry administration selects new members and its not based solely on sales. A lot of very successful singers are not members. Actually, the membership is small considering the genre and that a lot of the members are performers from many decades ago. I was surprised carrie got invited considering some that have been so successful for years that have not been. Its a great honor.

I think the second song Kellie sang was probably written with her old hometown beau in mind. He cheated on her after she was on idol and got another girl pregnant. Kellie had a hard time with it. New new album coming out has a song about that written by kellie and taylor swift.

kellie is gorgeous i think. What a complexion!
