The original “American Idol” queen makes history on this week’s Billboard Hot 100, to be posted tomorrow. Kelly Clarksonà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s new track “My Life Would Suck Without You” is set to rocket 97-1, establishing the largest leap ever to No. 1 in the chart’s 50-year history.
“My Life,” the preview single from her upcoming March 17 release “All I Ever Wanted,” shifts 280,000 digital downloads in its first week of availability, prompting the momentous move to the top. The song is also faring well at radio, jumping 58-38 on the Hot 100 Airplay chart and 27-18 on the Mainstream Top 40 list.
Kelly is also the first American Idol to hit #1 on the Hot 100 with a non-Idol related song!
And, it’s the second time Kelly has set the record for largest jump to No. 1.  Her coronation song, “A Moment Like This,” jumped 52-1 on the chart dated October 5, 2002.

Kelly’s leap back to the top is gratifying. I really just like her period. She’s real, unpretentious, and she sings her ass off. I can’t ask for more than that. I know she had to make concessions, but I have a feeling that this will only embolden her and raise her status to allow her to do her thing in the future. She is the reason idol has any cache, because they did it right the first time. She is the original idol.

YAY Kelly!!! SO excited for her! What a great day! I usually don’t search for numbers or anything while I’m at work, just wait to get home and read them here, but I was just dying to know what Kelly’s were, and if she had any chance whatsoever for #1 on the Hot 100, so I broke down. Just… yay!!!
The song itself has had to grow on me, but I’m loving it now. I just can’t help myself. LOL.
I don’t know if it’s gonna be a full fledged tour, but she’ll be at Universal Orlando Mardi Gras in March. And I am SO there.

I love the video, especially the part where her boyfriend frantically rescues his goldfish before she sends the bowl crashing to the street.
Kelly is a rare entertainer who is definitely cool and modern but she’s still herself, uneffected by fame. Idol lucked out with her as their standard bearer.
