Kelly Clarkson – Not Touring with the Idols. DUH.
And in the Dumbest Rumor Evah department, Kelly Clarkson’s camp has denied that Kelly was asked to join this year’s Idol tour:
Clarkson’s rep tells Access Hollywood that the report is “not true.” Furthermore, a Publicist for the “Idol” tour tells Access that this is the first she has heard of this, and that she has no idea where it is coming from.
In a fabulous game of link pong, first the “World’s Most Important Blog” *cough* Geno’s World starts the rumor. For some reason I haven’t yet figured out, (who the hell is Geno?) Rolling Stone picks up the ball and runs with it. Geno reports on Rolling Stone’s report, failing to mention that Rolling Stone based their report on Geno’s flimsy rumor–making it appear that RS is confirming the report in some way. The New York Post repeats the rumor in their gossip column today.Â
Finally, Â Kelly’s people step in to stop the madness, and many many hits later, Geno’s World posts that WHOOPS, the rumor is NOT true. No sh*t Sherlock, Kelly going on tour with this year’s Idols would be wrong, not to mention INSANEÂ on so many levels…
So here’s the deal. I want me some hits. Since Rolling Stone appears to be in the business of printing sourceless rumors, what Idol rumors can you guys come up with that will get ME linked in Rolling Stone’s Rock Blog. Be creative!

I liked Mary’s idea yesterday of Blake and Chris Rich getting hitched at the end of the Massachusetts concert. After all, it DID make me spew Mountain Dew all over my computer screen, and it would make the CAKE fans oh so happy, all the while crushing the dreams of 13 year old girls everywhere… but I digress.
How about…? Hmm… this is hard. Since season 6 sux so much, you know.

How’s about Clive is visited during the night by three spirits, the Ghosts of Idols Past, Present, and Future. The Ghost of Idols Past looks like the spitting image of Justin Guarini, Present like Jordin Sparks, and Future like any random vapid, cookie cutter pop star. Simon Cowell appears as “Simon Marley”. Clive awakens renewed, worried less about “units” and more about helping talented artists make quality music.
Think anyone will buy it? Probably all of it except that last sentence.
The reason Kelly isn’t touring AT ALL is because she’s slated to play Janis Joplin in the upcoming feature film, “Piece of My Heart.” Sanjaya has a cameo doing “Mercedes Benz.” Ford is not happy.
Ace was asked to do a duet with Chris Rich. He declined, saying “I did my time.”

Clay is going to sing “I’m Coming Out” at the Superbowl.
Echoing the sentiments of long time ‘Idol’ fans, two of the judges from the top rated show say that this season was a talent bust. ‘American Idol’ judges Randy Jackson and Paula Abdul reportedly have decided not to join host Ryan Seacrest and fellow judge Simon Cowell for the show next year. What Jackson described as “producer-driven mess” was one of the reasons he opted out, he told the Associated Press in a phone interview Thursday.
Neither FOX nor American Idol executive producer Nigel Lithgow could be reached for comment about whether the show would continue without the two judges.

In what could only be described as bizarre, reviled American Idol contestant Sanjaya Malakar was arrested by Los Angeles police after a failed attempt at freeing Paris Hilton. The socialite was locked up a few weeks ago for driving with a suspended license and violating her parole.
Malakar was found near the building where Hilton is being kept, armed with several semi-automatic weapons and was dressed in the same clothing that he sported during his infamous rendition of The Kinks 1964 hit “You Really Got Me”.
Malakar reportedly fled at the sight of the police presence but was quickly apprehended. He remained mum about a motive. Assumedly, this stunt will prohibit him from touring with his fellow contestants this summer.
“Bucky Covington” has been certified triple platinum.
I like both PJ’s and Tony’s ideas. They both seem like they might have a hint of truth. :wink_ee: And purple – LOL.
Since Taylor Hicks is much better at getting votes, than selling CD’s, he has declared himself an independent and will be running for Vice President on the same ticket as NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg.
Kelly Clarkson has cancelled her summer tour to appear on the TV reality series, Celebrity Fit Club.
Jordin Sparks is really not 17. She is really 42 but faked her birth certificate to appear on American Idol. Her crown has been stripped and given to Sundance Head.
U2 has just announced that they will be touring this summer as the opening act for DAUGHTRY. Bono stated that the band is very excited. They hope to increase their fanbase by opening for such rock legends.

American Idol alum Katharine McPhee will star in a remake of the 1995 film, “Showgirls”. She will recreate the role of Nomi, originally done by Elizabeth Berkley. The film will be produced by Nick Cokas.
This show will flop worse than the original, allowing for *** to move onto phase three of her life planà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬’ getting knocked up and having a baby.

Taylor Hicks has signed on with Dan Akroyd to remake the old Blues Brothers movies. Taylor is currently spending his small amount of free time from the tour teaching Dan some new songs – most notably Gonna Move… They’ll be rockin out to this one in the first film – The Blues Brothers are Back!
Meanwhile, in his break from touring Elliott Yamin prepares to record a duet with Melinda Doolittle. They’ll be recording the Meatlofa classic song Two out of Three Aint Bad. Meatloaf had approached Kat about doing the song but she fainted and had to be sedated. There will be a video to the song as well where Melinda and Elliott will both be wearing tshirts with a large #3.
