I thought the performance was great, pure Kelly. She is one of a kind, and still the TRUE American Idol queen. I missed this when it aired, so thanks for posting this.

.Kelly C vocals seem a littte strained which could be simple explained by the numberous appaeances she has been given latley it happenes. Her singles this album so far lets be relaistic come from the “pop machine fatory” primed for top 40 which sound sort of familiar. The difference like other singers out there Kelly can really sing and as evivdent from her last album takes risks .Kelly unlike some other AI winner does not buy the twig body image and stands up for herself..Kelly C would not go as far as saying the greatest vocalist out there but I respect her.

^^ I agree with you OG9. The performances were good but not the best I’ve seen from her. And I have to give a big shrug to both songs, especially the first. Which is probably why they’re gearing up for the second single so soon. And the outfit was bad. If she wanted to emphasize all her extra pounds, she was successful. There are so many ways for her to accentuate the positive, but for some completely baffling reason, she seems to be doing the opposite.

I honestly don’t think they were the best performances from kelly but they werent the worst.

and the outfit was horrible.

So this Kelly is the first AI winner? Wow, what remarkable vocals. She is one talented lady. I like her.

Just one observation though. Last time I saw her as a guest performer in AI8 (wasn’t that just last week..?) I thought she appeared quite slimmer. Or was it just the difference in apparels…? Oh, well.

Didn’t like the songs much, but the performance was quite impressive. Think I’ll start following this girl’s musical career.

Good think Kelly is known more for her vocals and not some sex symbol because she looked a little um..fuller last night. If that was Jessica Simpson looking like that, it would have made breaking news.

Kelly is fabulous. What a voice and two great solid performances. Still my favorite idol winner.

Kelly rocked the house. Girl can sng! She’s electric. She looked gorgeous, too. Liked her hair and outfit.

I cannot believe people compared her to Katy Perry. Pshaw. Kelly is amazing. And I agree, MJ, this performance was even better than her Idol one on Wednesday, which I thought was amazing. Go Kelly!

Wow wow wow. What a voice. And from a real girl. She might not have made it in the biz without AI because she looks pretty but real, so thanks to AI for this Amazing Talent. And AI should remember how well we do when viewers decide, they should stop trying so hard to make young girls a clone of some naughty image they want.

Producers and judges are almost always behind the wave, they sound so lame sometimes.

I like her performance of MLWSWY live quite a bit better than the single itself. When it starts on my ipod, i think “oh good” and then when it gets to the chorus I struggle to hear her voice over all the other sounds. Too processed on the chorus.

She did great on SNL.

I do think she needs anew stylist though.

I SO agree. She could look so much better than she does. Her face is cute, so why cover it with hair? And why wear clothes that reveal extra pounds instead of skimming over them. I’m not a huge fan of the little girl party dresses that Jordin Sparks often wears, but she is much better at making fashion choices to flatter her.

Kelly sounded fantastic. I also wish she would get some help in the wardrobe department. Her outfit for the Idol performance as well as the SNL performance weren’t very flattering. She is an attracttive girl, but her sense of style is not great. I am happy she is doing so well. I don’t like the the song MLWSWY, but I liked IDHU much better. The comment about Idol performers knowing how to perform well live on stage is so true!

Well thanks to MJ I got to see it. I was all primed… sitting on the couch with my dog… we both fell asleep somewhere between the sports and the weather!

I love Kelly. Her voice is incredible. Girl can sang it live – and what a performer! It’s also nice that she seems very confident with herself and not all caught up in trying to be pencil thin like so many other female performers. I feel the same about Jordin. It’s so refreshing and real. I just wish she didn’t have to say “suck” because of my little peeps! However, I cant come up with another word… except maybe “stink”. Nah – it’s not the same. LOL

I love her performances this go round. She seems happier and her voice has never been stronger. The more she sings “My Life Would Suck Without You,” the less bubble gum it sounds. And while I am a huge fan of My December, there is no reason not to a love the most eclectic pop album of the last few years.

At least she fares a lot better in the media (physically) than Jessica Simpson, but then she’s never held herself out as a Barbie doll (or Daisy Duke. LOL) Good for her (and sad for Jessica, cuz, no it’s not fair regardless.)

I still think the delightful Ms Clarkson can sing the pants off any of the other idols. Not taking away anything from any of the others, I think she is the best idol they’ve had. She is the whole package, the real deal. I just love her.

My life would suck without my DVR. It has one major design flaw…you have to physically PROGRAM it to record. Mental powers don’t work. Thank goodness for MJ’s!

Was she in any skits?? (must not have been or I’m sure it’d be here too)

I really enjoyed these performances…seems like ’suck was a little more rhythmic tonight…a little teeny tiny slower.

She’s incredible. What a great job. I love both songs. She looked pretty good to me.

It’s funny how when a women looks like a women when she has some ass it’s a big deal. But all of these folk parading around like 12 year old boys with breasts, huge breasts, that just fine. Unrealistic, but fine.

Anyway, she sounds great, and that’s what counts.
