Kevin Covais – College – New Movie Trailer – VIDEO
Katharine McPhee isn’t the only Idol who has a movie opening this month. Kevin Covais, Season 5 11th place finisher, who sang with a sweet Irish tenor that had all the grandma’s sobbing, (unless he was inexplicably wigging out to Stevie Wonder’s “Part Time Lover” which had the entire audience sobbing) stars in the new movie, College.
Like Katharine’s movie, The House Bunny, College is a comedy about the hi-larious hi-jinks associated with college Greek life.
But, unlike The House Bunny, which appears to be a frothy PG-rated romp, College is R rated and looks to be pretty raunchy. I mean, check out the last scene in the trailer I’ve posted after the jump. Go Kevin? We’ll never view our sweet little Chicken Little in the same way, ever again.
But, maybe it’s about time for an image change, since purportedly Kevin is getting all of Ace Young’s sloppy seconds. kidding, kidding, kidding.

I laughed my face off. I won’t pay 11 bucks to see it, but it looks like it will be a fun romp. Go Chicken Little.
Looks pretty funny but I’m not paying to go see it either. I have records to save up for.

This movie was supposed to be released in April, and then was moved to August. It’s barely had any promotion. So, if the studio doesn’t have any faith in it, I’m wondering how good it really is.
You never know though, even without promotion, it could become a sleeper hit. It looks like it has the ingredients to appeal to the audience who appreciates a raunchy romp. That chick falling asleep while she was uhm, er, had her face in Kevin’s lap had me loling…
Now, Katharine’s movie has had tons of promotion, and it was written by the peeps behind “Legally Blonde”. Also, Anna Farris has a reputation as a decent comedic actress.
I wouldn’t be surprised if it became a summer hit.

In the spirit of Napoleon Dynamite, it could very well become a classic…..
I think it’s much more in the spirit of “American Pie” and “Porkys” than “Napoleon Dynamite.” Raunchy teen romp, indeed.

Reading all this stuff about Kevin, Katharine, and Sanjaya I actually feel proud to have Taylor performing in Grease. Watch he’ll probably be announced tomorrow as being on the upcoming Dancing with the Stars.
Kevin also has a second movie coming out with Lindsey Lohan called “Labor Pains”. I am so proud of Kevin and this is a great opportunity for him. It seems really raunchy but funny at the same time. I can’t believe Disney boy wonder, Drake Bell, is doing this kind of movie. His audience are usually in the tweens category. I guess they are all have to grow up sometime. I will probably go see it and own the dvd since I am a fan of Covais. It will just be funny as heck seeing him all those awkward situations.
Kevin was always a smart alec, so I don’t think this is a stretch for him. Good luck to him. It looks like one of those brainless movies that I feel like watching on DVD on rare occasions. Although, my favorite teen guilty pleasure movie of all time is probably a few steps above that… Cruel Intentions.
Drake is not with Disney. He’s with Nickelodeon. Kevin’s movie looks like a “Superbad” rip-off.
This movie looks HYSTERICAL!!! Good for Kevin getting two great movies back to back- College, and Kevin are going to rock everyone’s socks off, and then he’s in LiLo’s “Labor Pains”… wow!
