I missed Kris Allen’s interview on MTV’s It’s On With Alexa Chung. Drat. It’s a pretty fun interview–so fun, I’m going to post the sub-standard video a reader posted in comments. If something better turns up I’ll replace it.
Kris talks about his childhood tumor, his travels as a missionary and his biggest fear. He also sits in Alexa’s lap and sings jingles!

It floors you? To be honest, he’s probably asked those questions BECAUSE they’ve seen it. They’ve got researchers on talk shows that find out lots of information about the people about to be interviewed. And if they’ve found something interesting or something trivia like, they’ll be asked again. They don’t assume people watching the shows are watching JUST for the guest, they assume it’s the talkshow hosts regular viewing audience.
what would be nice is if they (meaning Kris and other guests) answered the questions with a different answer each time. confuse people. because really, who is only scared of one thing?
It’s always great to see Kris!!! And yes, I agree with Ross, he meant like at a party, not a smaller venue.
MrsB, I guess I edited my post, so what you quoted isn’t there. Sorry. But yeah, I did originally say I think Kris would also be comfortable in good-sized theatres, not just arenas.
In an interview, Kris mentioned they were talking about possibly playing colleges, like David Cook, and this is when I thought of the “good-sized theatres” I guess.
I keep laughing out loud at all this stuff Kris says lately. I guess Allison was right when she said he’s hilarious.
I’m having a hard time making out his answer to the “don’t stop believing in what” question. Can someone help me out? Thanks!

Gah! That was awkward. Didn’t care for that at all.
But Kris’ strategic pause after saying that Adam is the one he spends the most time with….KRIS is fueling the Kradamites more than Adam is these days!

Love his laugh. He is so natural and completely at ease during these interviews. His sense of humor always comes out. Guess he is seeing the world now. Well at least the USA. Maybe the world will come later.
Dang. I don’t know who the kid in plaid is so I muted the sound, but watched both interviews just to see those legs.
