I bought this video at 5AM after I got a tweet about it being up on iTunes. I’m amazed it shot to #9 on Pop videos with little to no word of it on the front page of iTunes. Jive needs to advertise the pretty.

) Now I can see the ‘pretty’ all the time.
It is #9 for POP which I think is pretty good since I did not see any ad on itunes for it.
I hope it counts toward singles sold.
Do videos count as single sales?
19/Jive seem to be doing a decent job advertising Kris but they are not doing much to advertise his music. Get the boy some comercial work since the camera seems to luv his face. I would have thought with the AR connection to Walmart they would have been able to put some type of national/international campaign together with them. Also, the Dallas Cowboys Thanksgiving game with Daughtry. There is an AR connection with Kris and Jerry Jones both being diehard Razorback fans. I would have thought 19 could have negotiated a mini-concert or something with Kris. The connectionsa are their if 19 would utilize them.
I know the LLWD has been getting tons of hits on the VH1.com site. Maybe some non-AI fans watched it on there and bought it when it came out on iTunes?

@tripp: I think Jive has been doing well, actually. They seem to have focused on marketing Kris as a musician. They’ve booked him gigs that are music-related but can also expand his fanbase. The Napa Valley gig had guests from radio execs to critics and just regular people having a good time and from the rave reviews we’ve heard of the awesome performance he put on, he probably won a lot of fans from that gig. Same with the Dream Foundation gig. That was an A-list event featuring couture and celebrities, and I’m sure that got Kris some visibility. The PCAs were also beneficial to him. So I think Jive has been doing a good job. What we do need is more of Kris on the music-related sites like MTV and iTunes. There was a small icon for Kris’s iTunes pass when the album went on presale a couple of days ago, but there is nothing about his video or his single – that was poor promotion on Jive’s part. I guess we will have to do our parts as fans and try to get the video out there as much as possible.
Bought my copy early this morning. It’s a real treat to be able to call it up any time I want!
i hope the next gig will be with the band. Love acoustic Kris but he needs to make his mark with the band. After idol, he’s done only acoustic and his next performances on TV need to be with the band so people could see that he doesn’t come only with a guitar
Yeah, I love these intimate gigs with just Cale and Kris. I think the band was important at the Dolphins gig though, because it would have been too low key for a tailgate party. The band also adds extra oomph to Kris’s performance, especially for the more upbeat songs like “Can’t Stay Away” and “Written All Over My Face”. I actually think both those songs sound way better live than they do on the record. But I think this is what’s awesome about Kris though. He can just do a stripped down acoustic set for those who love that side of him, but he can also entertain in a big arena set because of the production values in this new album and the incorporation of the band.
I think the band will be with Kris when he does the talk show rounds (Conan, etc) and when he does his Good Morning America concert next week

I want a nice mix of the band and acoustic guitar and/or piano – I want it all. Kris really interacts well with other musicians and it’s infectious. Plus some of the songs just beg for a full band.
I ordered the video as soon as it came up on my iTunes. Sorry, MJ. Great that it charted so quickly, yet it’s not featured. Does someone have a link to the iTunes pop charts for singles, albums, videos?
I’m fairly certain music videos are a totally different class of sales and wouldn’t be included in single sales for charting purposes, just as albums aren’t. Or at least I don’t think they are. Kirsten?

Anyhew, not a fan of the song or the video (beyond the prettiness of Kris and love his guitar rocking parts) but I’m so thrilled it was the number 9 video in pop and 21 overall. I think that’s GREAT!

I hope we get an announcement when Kris’ podcast goes up on iTunes. I wonder if they’ll hold it off until the official release of the album next Tuesday.
