Kris Allen Performed Acoustic Set at Celebration of Dreams Benefit
Kris Allen performed at the 8th Annual Celebration of Dreams benefit in Santa Barbara, CA last night. The benefit raised funds for the Dream Foundation, a non-profit wish-granting organization for adults with life-threatening illnesses.
Kris tweeted from the gig, “Jeff Bridges offered me $10 to do the moonwalk!” Kris, did you do it? And a twit from this morning, “You really can’t go wrong when k loggins, m macdonald, and Taylor dayne rock the stage.”
That’s Cale Mills, band guitarist and keyboardist, in the photo with Kris. Looks like they served up a sweet acoustic set!

Sometimes when the Idols do these charity/one-off shows, the event organizers eventually post videos. They can even show up weeks later, so hopefully some will eventually turn up, though I’m not sure I need another version of MITM. Hope he starts performing the new stuff more soon.
LOL that’s funny CathyMK, I just searched out their website to see if anything was posted, but no, not yet anyway. I personally love his acoustic MiTM and actually wish this was on his album in place of the Heartless they put on there. I do wonder though if he performed more than this one song at the benefit.
Well, hopefully we’ll get something from the Vineyard event.

It would be very nice if we could get video of this event, but in viewing their site and the videos it is all about the people they help and the work they do. I happen to like that fact.
Eventually Kris may be featured in a pictoral video of this year’s event, but I wouldn’t have any hope of seeing a performance or audio of it.
It is an excellent organization and there aren’t many out there who concentrate on adults suffering through terminal conditions. Make a donation while you’re searching for your Kris news. Live Like We’re Dying too.
I’d love to see an acoustic set from Kris. I’m thinking we’ll get one eventually. I’m ok with waiting.
