Just as I was finishing up my Kris Allen radio interview round-up, I found this brand-new video interview from Lyndsey Parker of Yahoo Music.
Lyndsey had the privileged of listening to 7 new songs from Kris’s upcoming album, and in the interview, she talks Kris through the songs she heard.
Kris talks about, adjusting to co-writing, working with collaborators in the studio, and why he’s OK with his first single being a cover. He tells a funny story about working with Eg White in London.
Kris wrote or co-wrote 9 of the 12 songs on the album and is satisfied with the creative input he had on the album. Kris’s self-titled album will be available everywhere November 17. You can pre-order it on iTunes November 3.

Actually, rattleandhum, Daughtry did shave his head because of very early hair loss. I think that was something the world learned about him in his AI auditions.
I agree with you on the Daughtry sinister look – but it’s more facial expression than hair or lack of. Kris couldn’t look sinister if he tried.
I don’t know how Kris would look completely bald, but I do know he looks hot in hats. Of course, my ears don’t have eyes and my brain takes me to personal life and experiences when I’m listening to music.
My eyes happen to look at facial expressions … and hands. Kris has the most magnificent hands.
I love how chill Kris appears to be. I see a sense of relief in him and at the same time a lot of excitement for the first time in a while. I am so excited to hear the CD.
And if we have to take the shallow route about his appearance, I’ll jump in. Love the hair (or lack-of), the criss- cross applesauce is so presh, the mumbly low sexy voice is to die for and Kris pointing out that he just spit cracks me up. How about the gun show? Wow !!! When does he have time to work out?
I love Kris’s arms and his smile. When he smiles I really start melting. Do you think Is It Over might be the one with Daughtry. It so sounds like a Daughtry type title. Also Let It Rain title is different then the title Lyndsey gave she said it was called Let The Rain. It’s basically the same thou she just put in The and Walmart has It. Which sounds like it should go better when you say the Title.

I agree with you, nice guy but for me (for you) nothing much going on there, I think he needs to step it up a notch in the interview, performance, outfits department, he ´s young so he has a lot of time to develop that.
LOL, what I find funny is that Kris is so adorable and good looking that there was plenty to discuss w/o any kind of extra “polish”. However, for me what stood out most was what he had to say in this interview.

I for one wouldn’t mind if Kris never “steps it up” in an interview. If his style evolves or changes, fine, but I want him to continue to be Kris. It seems to be working quite nicely for him.
