Some hard news: Kris is set to tour in 2010, beginning in February through to September.

It’s been advertised like that since the voting started, not just now. I was stunned! It’s so incredibly disrespectful. I guess they don’t realize it would tend to alienate all the people who voted to make Kris the Idol.
I don’t even see the reason to put Adam’s name first. Would fewer people buy tickets if his name came second and Kris’s came first?
But Kris has a way of getting attention, anyway, no matter how much they try to put him in second place, doesn’t he?

Ok, I liked Kris a lot on the show (I’d never even noticed him until he and Meagan faced off at Top 13), but I gotta say he’s blowing me away lately. Seems like since Madison Square Garden he has just been in.his.element!! What other surprises is this guy keeping from us?! Oh, the interview that you guys were trying to find (the one with the logo…haha)? Saw that last night, and I was happy to see that he was soooo comfortable in that interview. He has come a long way in that department. The IIO vid from Florida?
Now I can’t wait for the AOL Sessions vids! It’s so great to be a Kris Allen fan. I know his mama has to be so proud.

I think that a tour of smaller venues is great for Kris. Have inexpensive enough tix that he gets some folks to try it out who don’t know the CD, and boom. More people start to know his music and ideally like it enough to buy the CD. I’m a little surprised that they announced such a long tour right off the bat. I would think that announcing a shorter tour would increase the odds of selling out earlier concerts (leading to nice press on that), plus then you can have a nice announcement of extending your strong-selling concert tour. But maybe they wanted to show support for him by announcing such a long tour? Which, I guess that it does.

They haven’t actually officially announced anything about a tour yet. Kris has said recently that they haven’t even really start planning the tour — he doesn’t even seem to know what kind of tour — or tours — it will be. The February-September thing is just a vague idea right now. I think he’s just thinking he will end up doing something along the lines of what David Cook has been doing. But there’s nothing official yet.

The promo video for this concert says it all. The whole video focuses mainly on Adam and to a slight extent on Allison, with a bit of Kris here and there. The beginning of the video plays Adam’s single and his music video. Even Allison’s single was played at the end. Nothing from Kris at all. If the promo for Kris is already so pathetic, you could imagine how his set might be. I hope all Kris fans in NY would come out in full force for the concert. It’s already terrible enough that he would not get to perform in his home state. And now, he might end up opening for the runner-up.

Are you referring to the video where all 3 are urging people to vote? If so, Kris’ single IS in that promo. They start by playing FYE, move on to playing LLWD, and then end with playing FIBOU
“The Truth” from yesterday is AMAZING and I like the change he made at 3:56. It’s such a concert song. I mean, it pushes his voice a lot but he handles it really well. There is also a slight change in AWM at 1:05. I really enjoy all the live versions of the songs. Andrew kill it during the guitar solos and the trio at the end of IIO is so fun to watch.

If I haven’t seen him performing it without the guitar I wouldn’t mind but we have already seen all these amazing performances where he owns the stage during that song, so I will say this: KRIS STAY AWAY FROM THE GUITAR WHILE SINGING CSA. So that was one fundamental rule that was broken. Another one was that two members of the band wore plaid yesterday, Andrew and Cale. I wish I could find sth funny or snarky to say about it but I can’t so that’s just an observation.

I think in that set Kris’ microphone is just set too low / the instruments are too high.
The video from Orlando was just right because you can hear Kris clearly.
In any case this song is just amazing but I was afraid from Orlando’s video that Kris will pop up his neck vein singing it.
Awww,love the KRIM show. You do have to watch it twice (or hit the pause button) to catch all Jim’s funny edits! They’re a hoot together!
Haven’t watched the Orlando vids yet, but if Band rules were broken, then would somebody on twitter please tweet them and let them know?! Rules are rules and are meant to be followed (especially the one about NO GUITAR on CSA!!!). Thanks in advance twitter peeps!
It’s great to hear the audience singing along to songs other than just LLWD and Heartless. Shos that people are getting into some of the other songs on his album.

Jim and Kris really do seem to gel well together. They seem like they have known each other for years.
Interesting…I didn’t hear LLWD the first time I watched this vid either.
