Lakisha Jones Idolatry Interview – VIDEO
Entertainment Weekly’s, Michael Slezak, recently interviewed Season 6 Idol, Lakisha Jones.
Lakisha dropped by the EW offices to discuss her new album, So Glad I’m Me, her pregnancy (she’s having a girl!) and to belt out her single, “Let’s Go Celebrate.”

Not wild about that song, but still love me some LaKisha. What a cool person, and a very fine singer. Will check out the rest of the album, and just hope it showcases her wonderful voice more!

She said *something* crappy about *one of* the Idols I like. Can’t remember what, can’t remember who, but I remember that I don’t like her because of it.

Would I go to see her in a small club and enjoy every minute of it? You betcha.
Lakisha’s song sounds like the songs you hear in a movie soundtrack. Hope she gets that and more!
Lakisha seems really happy in her life right now which is great. How awesome that she is a having another girl. I’m not crazy about the song but I do wish her the best of luck.
I bet Lakisha is a wonderful mom. As a mother of 2 girls myself, it is awesome. I’m all for you Lakisha, but I’m not feeling the song so much.

She said something crappy about Taylor. I remember. Her comment was meant, I suppose, to make her feel better about not winning AI herself….something to the effect of “it doesn’t matter if you win…I mean who is Taylor Hicks?” NOT AN EXACT QUOTE, but that was the sentiment.
I liked her before then. Now, I just don’t care about her at all.
She really peaked way too early her season (or what I watched of it), and I don’t remember her being all that great after she did the “Jennifer Hudson” song. She was really good on that one, though.
