She’s a very lovely girl (not fantastically beautiful) and has a great voice instrument….This is a keeper for Clive (vs. Kat mcphee), you can tell they’re putting a lot of $$ and effort into her career. Great song, surprised it’s not higher up the charts ?:)
She looks like a dog with make up. egh.
It’s #8 on the Billboard Hot 100 after only 5 weeks on that chart. That’s pretty high up, imo.
leona is beautiful and has an amazing voice
but quite frankly the fact that simon and clive are “pimping her out” so much is really putting me off JMO
I was resistant to Leona because when I first heard of her it was in the context of she’s better than ___________, fill in the blank and I hate crap like that. That being said I actually love her voice, I think she is the real deal and Simon actually gets kudos from me for seeing the talent. Go Leona!
I also see Leona making it far. She is talented and gorgeous (to me). Of course, the pimping helps, too. ;)
Fantastic, as always! Go Leona!
I think she’s talented and gorgeous too purplesmile.. and as far as higher on the charts…Wasn’t she No. 1 on itunes for days? Thanks good imo..
She’s got a great voice, but I really don’t like the imagery of “bleeding love.” I’m eager to hear her next song.
Leona is a very beautiful woman and can sing, but I can’ t stand Bleeding Love personally. I agree with dancin about the excessive pimping of her. It’s a real turn off to me too.
that performance makes me feel uncomfortable.
She’s pretty and has a nice voice although she sounds like maybe she’s got a cold because she’s a little breathless (or is that her style?). Anyway, I think the song is bland like yet another over-produced pop song that blends into the background while you’re shopping at the supermarket.
Your milage may vary, of course.
I do think Leona is a genuinely sweet and gentle person, and well done to her for being the first solo female Brit since Kim Wilde in 1987 to top the Billboard charts. Now there’s a blast from the past!
I wasn’t too keen on “Bleeding Love” either when I first heard it, but I must admit it’s a bit of a ‘grower’.On this performance though, I thought Leona looked and sounded a little tired. Just not her usual self.
Much preferred this cover of Roberta Flack’s “The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face”. Perhaps because she sings it fairly straight, without too many Mariah type runs……..or just because it’s a great song.
