Megan Joy is keeping herself busy since the Idol tour. Last Saturday, she performed at the SendOutCards convention, in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Now, she’s appearing in a local commercial for a clothing store called, “Castle Couture,” where she loves the clothes sooo much she busts out into a jingle set to the tune of “Walking After Midnight.” It’s a little cheesy, but kinda cute at the same time…
Megan is so pretty but I think this commercial is really lame. I hope she gets to do bigger ones with better production values soon!
Agree, I hope this isn’t indicative of the types of opportunities Megan was talking about. I thought she was looking toward modeling or acting more on a national or at least regional scale.
I like Megan, and was interested to see her tweet though recently about forming a band.
The singing part was cool, but the acting was terrible. So, let’s see now, her singing on the tour was not good so no contract awaits; she just showed us her acting skills; nexxxt – maybe modeling?

The production values are low but it’s a local merchant and I like the ad.
More importantly, Megan is likable in the ad.
She looks beautiful. She should really look into doing more commercials and film work. It actually pays pretty well.

I hope Megan gets to make more of these because she really is suited to them–quirky yet beautiful. I also hope she gets to do a children’s show somewhere down the line, since she’s got a really soothing voice and persona. She could sing songs to the kids/ cartoon animals and stuff, it would be perfect!
Yes, very important. She is one of the rare stunning women who still comes off as relateable and warm. That’s why I have hope for her

I think she can even do well being the voice on animated movies-
performing roles in animated cartoons and video games.

Yes, this isn’t a huge production, and it is quite cheesy (yet funny and cute at the same time, just like Megan). However, she isn’t going to be able to start at the top in huge production commercials. She will have to work her way up. All actors and actresses generally don’t get their first big break in HUGE productions; they start at the bottom and make one or two indie or “cheesy” movies before someone actually picks them up. Megan is just trying to get herself out there. What was she supposed to say when she was approached with this idea, “Nope, not high quality for me.” Um, duh, as a ninth place finisher on Idol who are generally forgotten about, she seized the opportunity to keep her face out there, even if it is just regionally.
Megan comes across just as she did on Idol and on tour, as sweet, likeable, and quirky. Good for her.
Megan’s voice is so unique… I love when she’s on, as she is is here!

Actually that was quite cute. After reading the posts, I was not expecting much – but she was great. Her haircut is fabulous. She has Reese Witherspoon cuteness.
