I tried to record Jordin Sparks and Blake Lewis on the Today show this morning, and my channel didn’t change correctly. I got them on TRL instead. Oh well. The Today Show clips are up on the Today Show web site–Jordin sings “This is My Now” and Blake sings “She Will Be Loved” with his own loops as backup. Pretty cool.
I did manage to get Melinda Doolittle singing on Live With Regis and Kelly. Enjoy.

Saw Blake and Jordin in Rockefeller Center this morning, it was great!
I’ve got some pictures but no blog to post em on. Jordin walked up and sang like 5 inches away from me, totally cool. During Blake’s warm up at like 6:30AM he asked the crowd not to cheer like crazy at the beginning of his song so that it could get recorded and looped, I guess it was successful but ppl didn’t stop shouting! Fun morning….

I saw Melinda’s performance on TV today and she was incredible!! It will be interesting to see what kind of album she makes, but I will definately watch for it. I love her! She feels the music and sings from her soul. Go Melinda!

sammy - YES - and you can hear Moving On right when the video starts. Well, I’ve always thought it would be great to hear Melinda and Elliott sing together - this is close.

LOVED Blake and Jordin on the Today Show - Blake’s song came off much better than yesterday on Regis. It really worked! :) And how cute were they on TRL? I think Jordin and Blake may just be The Best top two ever, as far as a marketable, lovable, talented couple of kids. Wow! Seriuosly, how can you not love Jordin and her giggly teenager poise? And Blake. Hottie!!!
Question about loops - do live performers usually record the beats/loops/etc earlier to keep from having the crowd noise?

Melinda was great this morning. I’ve been listening to her songs–the long versious–that were downloaded off of the AI site. Her voice is outstanding! I’m okay now with her not winning, but it is such a shame she wasn’t in the top 2. I will buy whatever kind of music she makes.
And I also noticed Elliott’s song at the break. And speaking of Elliott, I saw his concert in Lancaster, PA, earlier this week. He was excellent! You can tell that he is having such a great time. And maybe the best part was how he stood outside the bus after the show and signed autographs, posed for pictures, and talked with people as long as there was someone there. He was so gracious and nice.
Melinda is awesome as always.
I thought Blake sounded fantastic on the Today Show. 100 times better than on R&K.

It was great hearing Elliott’s song also. A very nice surprise.
I posted this before but I’m predicting Melinda to be the Superstar of Season 6. With the right music, I see a Grammy in her future. And having Elliott as her lead in, wow that was just unbelievable. Somebody on Regis/Kelly really is into idol because that was perfect.

Great performance by Blake on The Today Show. He puts his own spin on the song and it sounds really nice. I have a feeling he’s going to be one of AI’s top selling artists of all time.
