awww, I love Michael.
LOL, Jason.
Weird; I literally just finished watching the second part of his interview from a recording. Anyway, I’m still really disappointed he got the boot so early. He really seemed like a nice guy, regardless of the faux-rockstar thing the judges kept contradicting themselves on. Screw his past (and apparently failed) record deals. I wish him much success in the future. :]
Just finished watching Michael on AIExtra. I got a kick out of Michael saying that the other Idols think of him as Papa Johns.
Michael is such a class act. That is all.
Michael I wish you all the success in the world! You really deserve it.
I am so amazed on how humble sweet and genuine he is.
Great people like him deserve to reach his dreams. Hang in there MJ. I know you will get signed.
Can’t wait for your record.
Definitely a good guy! And an excellent voice!
Thanks, MJ! I would never have seen this otherwise.
He seems so genuine and fun! Somehow, that didn’t translate so well on the Idol stage. :-( I’m not sure why. I’ll be supporting his career, for sure! RE: Papa Johns! LMAO!
Oh, and nice comments about Cookie :-). Jason, too. I can totally believe he’s totally goofy/spacey and then says something profound. LOL.
I guess in mourning I’ll download his performances that I haven’t already. I hope the Idols get a cut of the action.
I wish we had seen more of that personality. He is totally cool, and, interviews very well. I think he will have a successful career this time around. Rock on MJ!
Aww, Papa Johns! That’s so sweet and hilarious at the same time. Haha.
…Jason. LOL. It could probably go the other way, too — saying something profound and then just really spacing out. :D
I’m going to do that, too. I re-watched some of his older performances that I didn’t like initially, but they’re growing on me now. He really does have a great voice paired with that lovable personality of his, heh.
I find Michael so cute and charming in his interviews!
Aww LOL at David A. saying he’s like his second dad. So sweet. I watched the actual show a little while ago and they show brief clips of David C. and Carly, both look like they were crying quite a bit
I wonder why he went to sleep after that great audition and Bohemian Raphsody performance. He woke up too late. Was he too busy playing papa?
I love his ‘lie-detector’ statement. So true. I absolutely love him now…but please don’t wear an ascot. I feel I’m having bad thoughts about Granpa.
Awww cute! Why do I want pizza all of a sudden? ;)
It always seems, when watching behind the scenes stuff and group performances, etc, that Michael, Carly, and DCook are all really close. So I’m not surprised that David and Carly were in tears at MJ leaving.
I too think that he lost his groove somewhere after Hollywood and found it again too late. :( But I do like that he stuck to his guns about what he wanted to do in the competition. Good on ya, MJ.
You might understand this, Hisaki…back here, refering to someone as a “Papa” could mean something else. When I told my sister yesterday that one of my favorites was sent home, she immediately asked, “your Papa Michael?” Heh. ;)
Oh, Lordy, I cannot stand to hear David A. talk. He is soooooooo boring. Yikes, wait until he hits the interview circa.
Love him…. He’ll have a great career.
He’s a natural in interviews, isn’t he? It makes me like him even more if that’s possible.
I do agree that Michael didn’t have the best song choices some of the early weeks. I wish he’d done something more in the rock/soul category instead of a couple of his choices. I really think he’d still be there if he had. I liked him ever since Hollywood and stuck with him but I think some of the others pulled people in when he didn’t. I do think that in the end it may be alright for him to be the shocking boot now rather than after Kristy and Syesha or whoever goes in the next couple of weeks.
Great interview. Michael seemed incredibly composed under the circumstances.
I thought the interviewer did a good job too. I’m not in the U.S. so I’m not familiar with him, but I thought he asked fairly intelligent questions.
Actually, I liked him 100 times better than Ryan. Then again, I think I would like anyone 100 times better than Ryan at the moment.
It’s a pity there couldn’t be a “T.V. Presenter Idol”.
……..Ryan…..America voted……………
LOL. I’m definitely sure he was your “papa”. ;P
Being booted early is not like it was years ago when Idol started. Because he can still be signed to an agent and get a record contract. He’s got the world at his door, he’s an Aussie (Russell Crowe? Keith Urban?).
Going #1 doesn’t mean anything….please stop saying it means they’ll be voted off…if that’s true Syesha would have been long gone.
Awww Michael {sniff}. I’m still reeling from his boot.
He comes across as so genuine and down to earth. And funny. Not to mention smoldering seksay.
And how sweet is that crying vid and the others’ reactions? It actually has me rethinking my hatin’ on Carly and Kristy.
The massive outcry over his too-early boot is great exposure though. He’s getting a lot more well-deserved attention than he would if he had just gone when it was his time.
Even my 83 year old mother is still po’d. I called her today and she immediately started griping about it, swears she’s done with AI, and that everyone else should have gone instead of Michael. She even insulted Cook and my sweet Jason. Until I cut her off. Hrmph.
