Michael Johns – Another Christmas – Drops Today

The Michael Johns Christmas song, “Another Christmas” drops today, and is available at iTunes and Amazon.
Michael penned the tune in 2006 in a fit of homesickness, when his new visa didn’t come through in time for him to travel to Australia to be with family for the holidays.
Teaming up with Nancy O’Dell of Access Hollywood to release the song, Michael is donating all proceeds to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, in honor of Nancy’s mother Betty, who recently died after a long battle with ALS, a form of MD.
It’s a simple, acoustic tune–a love song to Michael’s friends and family at Christmastime. And as always, Michael’s vocals are awesome.

This is such a beautiful song. Wow.. It’s been along time since I have heard such a warm and loving song. This song makes me miss the good times I had with my family when we were younger and my parents were still with us. Thank You, Michael…Truely a beautiful song..You sang it from your big old heart!! Mauh!!!
Thank You MJ for posting this!!
I have my copy already and will be gifting some to friends. It is simple and beautiful and sung from the heart! The fact that 100% of the proceeds go to charity is fantastic! Thank you, Michael, for sharing such a special song that you wrote for your family!
Thanks for posting it here. The song is truly amazing and brings tears to my eyes every time I listen to it. Also, at itunes, it is stated that TRP records published it. So it is confirmed now (finally) that Michael is working with the same management as Elliot Yamin! Let’s hope MJ gets Elliot-like success or even better.
Here’s a link to the site of TRP records
Thanks, MJ – and MJ!
Bought it thru your link and love it!
I downloaded the song since it’s for a charity with which I have a personal connection. I was pleasantly surprised. The song has lyrics which are sentimental without being cloying (though I’d have changed the “weird bunch forever” line), a great hook, a memorable melody, and some solid vocals.
Good for you, Michael! I can definitely hear this getting radio play. And thank you so much for donating the proceeds to The Red Cross.
Finally I get to hear the whole song! I bought my copy this morning and it sounds fantastic! I was definitely sceptical about a Christmas song, but I guess Michael can pull off anything.
Thanks MJ for posting….off to listen to Another Christmas again and request it on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show!
Love it. His voice is great and it’s for a good cause. I hope it sells well.
Just a very beautiful man with a very beautiful voice.

Michael’s appearance on access hollywood was bumped to tonight.
I love it! I usually don’t like any Christmas music that much, but this song really struck a chord with me. You can tell that Michael missed his family when he wrote this!
The fact that all proceeds go to charity makes me love it even more. I hope it does very well!
Thank you for posting it,i love the song it is so beautiful and Michael sounds so amazing i hope people buy it.
Oh, and I heard that Michael will be performing this on Access Hollywood today!! I hope that’s true. It would be great exposure, help out some very worthy causes AND we get to see Michael!!
As someone who has spent every Christmas away from family for the past 17 years this song hits home.
Downloading now, thanks MJ.

I do like MJ was one of my favorites this season along with Jason and thanks for the link to the x-mass song.I am aslo glad he is giving the money to ALS a relatives friend died of a fast moving ALS.
It’s great that the proceeds are going to charity, a very honorable thing to do.
About the song itself – I like the verses, the chorus not as much. I don’t know if it’s the lyrics or what (à ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã…“weird bunch foreverà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬ and “love eachother true” are sort of sketchy for me, dawg), but it’s not connecting with me. Also the production is too sparse, IMO.
I wish Michael Johns all the success in the world, and hopefully I’ll really enjoy his first single from the album. This one I’m not crazy about.
Smart move to make it for charity… it’s probably the only way to make some people buy this song. It’s just so meh and bad, I can’t even say it’s better than Ramiele’s, which is pretty boring already.
Bought it!
Michael blogs…

I love this song and would have bought it regardless, but the proceeds going to charity just makes it an even sweeter purchase. What a lovely thing for Michael to do!
Thanks so much for posting this, MJ!
Thanks for posting MJ…… I love how the song speaks to those
away from their family at Christmas. It makes me think of all
of our armed forces, many who will spend their first Christmas
without their family in a foreign nation. What a BIG heart
Michael Johns has for donating his talent to 2 wonderful
causes. I’m so proud of him!
My daughter has ALS, and it is a dreadful fast-moving disease — one that is difficult to diagnose. There is no cure, although research is going on for medications that may prolong life. The average life after diagnosing the disease is 2-5 years, although a few do live for 10 or even 20 years.
Oh well tried….right or wrong
Sorry to hear that Paula that is an awful disease…
I love this song and Michael helping these charities is wonderful. I wish him all the success in the world
Hmm… TRP does have prior history of releasing Xmas tunes so if they are managing him, I’m sure it was their initial idea to release the song. I’m guessing Michael didn’t think the song was his best effort either so he said he’d do it only if all proceeds go to charity. Looking at today’s pop charts full of songs that are just as ‘meh’ or ‘bad’ for me, if not worse (despite slick promo and production) and all for profit, I won’t begrudge MJ for doing this–it’s actually cool.
In the Philippines, buying songs online isn’t as widespread in the US so I hear MJ’s song is available only at Mossimo shops (the clothing line that co-sponsored his gigs here). All proceeds also go to a charity for abused and disadvantaged kids. Even cooler.
