- Michael is going to be ESPN’s guest at the White House Correspondents Dinner this weekend.
- He thinks Paula’s comments have been right on the money this year. He wouldn’t say that for every year he’s watched the show.
- He was going to perform “Gesthemane” from Jesus Christ Superstar this week. For Neil Diamond week he would have like to sing “Sweet Caroline” or “Coming to America”.

He seems to be a nice guy, and the other contestants loved him, but, musically, he just never lived up to his audition for me. He needs a stylist, not the one holding the ascots, though.
I think Sanjaya and maybe Chris Sligh attended the dinner last year, didn’t they? Guess it is becoming a tradition!
I love Michael just the way he is even if he persists in wearing hats. He seems to still be getting press 2 weeks later. Very cool that he’s going to the White House dinner. Interesting that Tony Kornheiser invited him. He did an interview with him so MJ must have made a good impression. I know he has a connection with one of the Chi. Cubs and I heard that he did a score for an ESPN video.

And two years earlier Constantine and Nadia attended the 2005 dinner. I have a vague recollection of someone from S5 (was it Ace?) attending in 2006 but no recollection of anyone from seasons 1 through 4.

FYI — Just a technicality — Actually, the White House Correspondents Dinner isn’t held at the White House. It’s held at one of the large hotels in DC. (I live in DC.)
I wouldn’t be surprised if a couple from the Top 10/12 in other AI years have been invited to the Correspondents Dinner too. Clay Aiken went from AI2. It may have been someone at Rolling Stone who invited him. Or does anyone recall for sure?

I am still very upset over Michael Johns being eliminated from American Idol, and how Ryan Seacrest handled the elimination was as low-down as someone could ever be!!! I used to like and respect Ryan, but now……I could care less if “he”
was ELIMINATED as host of American Idol, after that “snake in the grass” STRIKE!!! Michael should have been at least in the TOP THREE, right there alongside of David Cook and David Archuleta!! He is a VERY TALENTED singer, and his bluesy voice is like none I’ve ever heard before!!! I could listen to him all day and night long, and of course, he certainly is very easy on the eyes!!! But even if I couldn’t see him, I would have loved him anyway, because his voice is so magnificent that it has the capability of carrying you away from all the negatives of an ordinary day, let alone a hectic one!!! Someone will surely snag this “gem” of a singer and show him his “claim to fame”, as he so surely deserves to receive!!! I am a fan for life….can’t wait until his first CD hits the stores!!! Let the little “teeny-boppers” keep voting for the “stupid” dreadlocks and the little boy smiles….I’ll take the “MUSICALLY TALENTED” anyday!!! After all, wasn’t this the whole idea behind American Idol….to choose the most musically talented….someone that is versatile and can sing any type of song well…….GEEEEEEE……at least that’s what we were lead to believe from the first season………….HMMMMMM……………(I guess they forgot….or something!!!)GO FIGURE!!! Michael…..Give the world what it wants….a ROCKER that knows how to make us dance and bring us so much happiness!!! WE LOVE YOU!!!
