I loved MJ’s cover song choices, but dang! No IAWBIAR or Across The Universe? He’d better sing either of those at the Greenbelt show!
Uploading my videos is taking forever, I’m not sure I can get them up in time before I leave for an out of town trip in a few hours… :s
My video of Come Together
(not very good quality, lol, but it at least gives you another angle, heh)
No one else is interested in Michael but me? Pffft. lol
my version (aahh…another angle again, heh)
WOW! Michael is amazing!
Purplesmile, How long did the concert last? Did Michael talk about his upcoming album at all?
Thanks for posting, MJ!
Ah! Finally! lol
asa, the concert lasted about an hour. I think he did say the album is coming out in March.
Thanks purplesmile! Is it true that Michael said he’s planning on making “Feelin’ Alright” his first single? I read that in a review and wanted to check.
Wow Pearl Jam, Oasis, Stone Temple Pilots, he sure picked out great music for his song list. I absolutely love he’s keeping the rock vibe. Loving the videos! keep em coming lol
Michael also sang Another Brick on the Wall (Pink Floyd) back to back with Daughter.
He looked and sounded marvelous. I liked his original songs. They were fast-paced and rocking. He was very game, considering that in a show like this you have your real fans (the screaming people in the seats), your random passers-by, and everything in between — including the people on the escalators beside the stage looking onto the stage (”Who’s that? Oh, it’s Michael Johns from American Idol! Let’s watch for a while. OK, time to go.”) That must have been very distracting for him. He did try to get people outside the seated area involved.
After the show my friends and I walked by the area where they were doing meet and greet (I don’t remember that Taylor Hicks did this when he did this same thing last year). Filipinos, like most Asians, don’t normally hug each other unless they’re closely related or intimate friends. Each time Michael hugged a girl everyone screamed. LOL.
“If You Could Only See” would have been a great song for him to sing on AI. One of my all-time favorites and he nailed it.
Don’t You Forget About Me
I confess I wasn’t familiar with this song but I loved it!
my little clip (this one is short but not bad, if I may say so ;D)
Thanks so much MJ and purplesmile for this.
What a treat to hear all these songs. :)
Thanks for posting these. I’ll have fun listening to them. I enjoyed him singing “If you could only See” and agree that it would have been good for him on AI.
Thanks for the recap, Seachange. Purplesmile, I know what a big fan you are so am happy you’re getting to see him but must admit I’m a bit jealous that you all got to hear so many songs.
I’m jealous. Hope he tours somewhere near me in the furture as I’ll be one of the first in line. Love the Aussie.
Kamusta purplesmile. I have been so busy these last two days but thanks for all these goodies . I will have a private concert of my own tonight ;) when I get home.
I did watch a few seconds of some clips and Yellow, Daughter and Wonderwall sounded awesome. His voice is just amazing even when the audio is scratchy.
I wonder if Michael takes requests…lol.. I am still waiting for him to sing Vision Of Love. And if he can swing it, his own songs from The Rising days and Live at The Apple Store. His own songs are some of the best I’ve heard for a long time.

Aww…sorry, bean. :p Yes, I was thrilled that MJ came here, too. Am I lucky or what? ;)
Re: tonight’s Glorietta show, which I, aaarrghhh, missed (as I’m out of town), my secretary who went to see a little bit of the show reported to me (she knows her job, doesn’t she? haha!) that Michael sang Bohemian Rhapsody and another song she didn’t know (which might be, ahem, Purple Rain) and that he sounded great. She also said the place was packed and there were lots of screaming fangirls.
Kumusta ka rin, Fran? :)
That was fantastic! I love his song choices. He did amazing especially on Yellow. I love how he sounded on Come together. The audio is not that great on some of the videos, but it still is a treat! Great job, Michael!
Also, Don’t miss Michael’s performances at Glorietta and at Greenbelt in the Phillipines. Some of the songs included at each performance were different and the way he performed them was different each time. I love all of his song choices and how he performed them! The way he performed “Come Together” at Glorietta was pretty damn cool!
