   Didn’t see this posted anywhere but apparently, possible reasons behind Mario Vasquez’ abrupt departure from AI have been revealed:

   Funny, but I remember hearing something to the effect that the reason why he dropped out of AI was because of some harassment back then. It quickly disappeared but there were rumors of him and some inappropriate sex act.

    Note on TMZ…they’re actually sorta like Star Magazine. or sometimes the national enquirer. sometimes a story is true or partially true, and sometimes just quoting unreliable people, gossip, supposedly verified but by whom? some of their sources are pretty unreliable.

    TMZ is actually very reliable. The suit exists. It’s a question of whether or not the claims made in the suit are true or not. That’s not up to TMZ to decide. All they did was break the news of the lawsuit.

    I know that the idol hopefuls have to sing Diana Ross blech this week but I would love to hear Melinda sing Sweet Love by Anita Baker or Unbreak My Heart by Toni Braxton. I think she could bring the house down.

    Chris Sligh’s band — HALF PAST FOREVER’s indie released album — TAKE A CHANCE ON SOMETHING BEAUTIFUL is now ranked #547 in Amazon !

    Not even Taylor Hicks’ own UTR or IYT reached that height.

    This is astounding for a small town band that has hardly had any promotion.

    Here is something new I learned about Chris Sligh in the editorial review :
    
    
    “Along with his Idol fame, Chris has a couple national songwriting awards under his belt, and it’s not hard to hear the talent.”

    And if you want to gauge the vocal range of Chris Sligh, listen once again to his song — IN A MOMENT ( the last part of the song shows you the extent of his upper register ). Impressive. This guy hasn’t shown us what he’s got yet and might have some surprises still in store.

    Well, it helps that Amazon is promoting it, with a link, on all the idol’s pages. :)

    Taylor’s pre-AI cds were never sold on Amazon - neither was Chris D’s. They didn’t have the opportunity to reach such a “height”. The only comparison I can think of might be Constantine’s cd, which I think actually made it to #1 on Amazon briefly - is that correct?

    Here is some old news on Paula Abdul. Years ago, (1994), Paula checked into Laureate Psychiatric Clinic and Hospital here in Tulsa for treatment for bulimia. Last year I always wondered if she ever had a talk with Kat.

    On a side note, my dark horse for this season is Melinda. I do think she has star appeal. I loathe the beat boxing, it is getting really old and he does that better than he can sing. Blake is cute though.

    Constantine’s CD made #2 on Amazon.com.

    His total first week sales: 7,500. Most of them might very well have been from Amazon. LOL!
