Yay for Bucky!
Elliott’s WFY seems to be finally slowing down. Maybe it’s time to release the countrified version now…

I heard Bucky’s “It’s Good to Be Us” on the radio a few days ago. I didn’t know who it was at the time, but I liked the song right away. It’s well written, as was his last one, A Different World. Carrie Underwood has some great songwriters, too. I’m happy for both of them. The only time I listen to Country music is when our alarm clock-radio goes off in the morning.
The rest of the time, I listen to Contemporary Christian music. A couple of days ago I heard Chris Sligh’s “Empty Me”. Again, I didn’t know it was him, but this was another song that I liked the first time I heard it, which for me, doesn’t really happen a lot. When the announcer said it was Chris Sligh, I was surprised. I’ve heard it several times more since then. The song is very well written, perfectly produced and expertly performed. My problem is that I have to try to NOT picture Chris when I listen to it.
Yikes, pop. LOL ;)
