Any statistics for Clay? “On My Way Here” was going for adds.

  2. 2 Kirsten May 5th, 2008 at 11:24 am

Oops. Mea Culpa. I forgot to check for Clay this week. Thanks for reminding me. I’ve added him to the list.

I’m glad to see Ace’s new single moving up!

Hmmm…Blake’s doing worse than Katharine. I wonder how long he has before Arista dumps him.

    Tony,

While Blake’s sales and airplay haven’t been good by any means, I may be so bold as to say that Katharine’s song is doing as well as it is at least partially because Elliott is on it. Although he finished lower than her in the actual competition, he has done better (by sales numbers, anyway) after the show was over.

When I mentioned Kathairne, I was speaking of her solo singles.

    Who is Blake?

  8. 8 jpfan May 5th, 2008 at 8:56 pm

Blake Lewis finished 2nd, Season 6. I think he was supposed to outsell the winner and be radio friendly. He’s probably sold a little less than Kat and people used to talk about her alot. For some reason, nobody ever talks about Blake at all.

Blake’s “How Many Words” got up into the Mid-50’s a couple weeks ago, with some decline since. Apparently it was recategorized over the weekend. The album “Audio Day Dream” has reportedly sold around 290,000 copies. New remix EP coming out next week.

Not to be the kiosk of Blake info - I just frequent one of the Blake sites.

That’s even worse than I thought. I thought he was at least over 300,000. Technically he can be seen as an even worse flop than Kat because she at least had a moderate hit, Blake has an album and two singles that tanked.

For some reason, nobody ever talks about Blake at all.

Except when he does radio interviews and manages to sound like an idiot LOL

    “Moody’s Mood for Love”:
    “One Word”:

Sorry. Those were from the previous week and I forgot to delete them (I always start with a previous list to save on the typing). They are gone now.

MJ is so going to cut my pay in half this week.

Wait — they actually played a Clay Aiken song on the radio? Is that the 6th or 7th ring of the inferno?
