What song is this?
Blake Lewis:
“The Show” (with Doug E Fresh): 1151 Urban (-)
It is the performance Blake and Doug E. Fresh did on the American Idol Finale (beat-boxing)
Ah, I see. I didnt know they played that stuff on the radio.
Well that’s a surprise… Mandisa and Daughtry on the Christian AC charts.
A bit of history on that. Due to time constraints, I don’t actually monitor all of the Mediabase charts (for instance, I don’t report on the Mediabase Radio Disney or Tropical charts…Kelly gets spins on Disney, but none of the Idols seem to fit the Tropical format). I thought that “Gospel” was the main Christian chart on Mediabase, but when I saw Mandisa on the Billboard charts, but not on the Gospel Mediabase chart, I went and found the additional Mediabase Christian AC chart (which is actually the more popular Christian chart).
I started reporting spins on CAC last week and some of MJs Daughtry fans posted that people were reporting on the Daughtry sites that the band was getting spins on CAC, so I checked for them there this week. It’s great when people bring that information here so that we can generate a more complete picture (and offer a surprise or two).
BTW George is also getting spins on the CAC charts.
I had heard that the Christian AC stations were playing Daughtry’s Home and am glad to see confirmation of it.

If only TPTB would play “Home” to Country radio too since it is doing well on Christian radio. That song has a “country flair” and may do well on the Country scene.
