The resilience of Magic Rainbow is really something.

Go Cookie! Go Archie! It is a tough music world out there and although I am mostly a DC fan, I so hope both of them are successful for the long haul.

Both are so different. Both are so talented. DC and DA FTW.

I have been in the REAL world the last few weeks due to my daughter’s wedding, but now I am so excited for their albums to come out. I honestly don’t even care who sellls the most etc - it is like apples to oranges. But I am so happy for both these young men.

I loved the S7 group - can’t wait for Jason, Brooke etc to release music.

ETA: who woulda ever thought the magic rainbow would still be chugging along….lol

I know folkFan, its amazing that its still number one on HAC. How many months? 6? I remember when he sang it on the final, people where saying how bad it was, but I guess it touched some people didnt it? I actually like the song. I still hear it all the time on the radio. They just started playing LO here, Im so happy!!!

Crush is showing some MIGHTY fine legs across the board…. it’s stability and consistency in sales and chart position week to week is remarkable. It has to be a sign that it’s broken through and out of the Idol bubble into solid mainstream acceptance. A wonderful little catchy “calling card” of a song to the industry for what we hope is a long, successful recording career for David….

Kristy’s song is #26. Nice climb but not enough for her to walk the CMA red carpet. (Needs to have hit at least #20)

Songs on AC have a long shelf life. Best Idol example is Kelly’s Breakaway released to POP in July 2004 and was #1 on AC a year later. So, don’t be surprise if TOML last a few more months in the top 10. In the next few week AC goes mainly seasonal, so you might see a drop till after the holidays. The song might go back up as the stations gt back to regular music in Jan.

AC will move even slower now that it’s the holidays and some AC stations are going all Christmas. Crush has been at #13 on AC for a long, long, long time. And it’s gaining.

What’s really weird about Crush on pop right now is that, while it is moving down the chart due to small spin losses (-11 for today–very small in the world of pop), its audience impression has been gaining consistently for the past 4 days. Big stations are increasing its spins while smaller stations are decreasing. That kind of makes sense because smaller stations were the first to put Crush into power rotation.

Love how both LO and Crush are doing so well on Hot AC!

Bucky has his third song within the Top 10 (#8) on the country charts. Go Bucky. He has been working his butt off. Glad it’s paying off. He now has the 5th top selling CD of Season 5.

    Gosh, I love Bucky!

I still hear many people mocking Idol, that the show can not produce singers that will make into the music business. Then I look at that list and see how many idols are making it. Makes me happy for all those guys.

LO just can’t seem to get moving, can it?
Its slow move is kind of like Blake’s single IIRC.
