Thanks Kirsten. I guess “Wait For You” has gone recurrent on the Pop chart. It had a nice long run. Last time I checked it had spent over 160 days in the Top 20. It even got to #3 for almost a week, and it was #4 for many weeks. It’s still being played a lot so that’s good.
Did the song go recurrent on RAC and HAC charts too?
It appears that Jordin will have a Top 10 hit - maybe Top 5. Good for her. She is only 17.
Man, i forgot how young Jordan was. Break Anotha is moving fast.
Why isn’t Melinda signed yet?
How many Idol songs have gone recurrent? And is there a chart that you can still track recurrent songs on?
Yes it has. As of this morning, it is the recurrent song on the Pop charts with the most spins. It would be 25th on the Pop chart if it hadn’t gone to recurrents.
Yes. It went recurrent on Hot AC and Rhythmic.
Lots. Any Idol song that charts and is on the chart for a given number of weeks will eventually go recurrent. Songs older than two years are generally recurrent. Rules for a song going recurrent vary depending on the chart.
I believe recurrent spins still count towards the Hot 100 (unless the song as gone recurrent on that chart as well).
If you are just interested in monitoring spins, Mediabase will do that for you. You can use the old links that you have and just switch the tab at the top from “Currents Only” to “Currents and Recurrents”. The recurrent songs are listed at the bottom.
Here is the link to the Mediabase Pop “Currents and Recurrents” chart.

Thanks Kirsten. You have no idea how much I look forward to your info each week.
