I guess Taylor is just concentrating on the next cd. I know this was mentioned here but Ayla Brown is doing ok and I do not remember her singing just basketball and parents jobs .

“Break Anotha” goes for adds tomorrow, so hopefully Blake’s single will get a big push. I see the one dude who plays “The Show” was working again this week. Heh.

I didn’t realize “Warm Me Up” was already getting some radio play. That’s nice because I do like that song. :)

Apparently, a lot of other Christmas songs are already getting played. That’s nice, too, because I do like Christmas, too! ;D

Good luck to Blake on tomorrow’s big day! :D

I didn’t realize Warm Me Up was getting some play either - but YAY!
    Good luck Blake!!!

Wow…Blake’s single is already looking like it’s about to exit the top 100 on iTunes. You’d think Blake had a larger fanbase. Then again, maybe not.

I DJed a party/program here at OSU (during our “Beat Michigan” week) and “Break Anotha” would have probably been a song that I might have played…I just didn’t think about it.(and by DJ, I mean get a really good playlist on my iPod. lol) Definitely danceable, but it has a really weird, generic feel to it. (I should also mention that I was biased and played both of Elliott’s songs. they’re just so darn easy to sing along to. lol)

We’re having a winter ball type of thing (I was asked to DJ that, too) and I’m a little curious to see how college students would react to hearing Blake’s song in that type of setting. He’d probably get a decently average response.

One thing I’ve noticed about “Break Anotha”: it isn’t on ANY of the Promo Only albums and I always use them when looking for the music that’s “supposed” to be really hot in the next few weeks/months.

    A little about them

Promo Only, Inc., is the nation’s largest provider of promotional content, offering music on CD and music video on DVD designed to meet the specific needs of music professionals and entertainment venues. Promo Only also provides custom video remixes to record labels and custom programming and content to the hospitality industry via its Business Music Division….

Also, I’m a little surprised that “One Word” is doing so horribly right now (maybe the fact that WFY is still being played by most stations could be a factor). Anyone know how WFY was doing, comparably? *goes to investigate*

    Let’s see:

WFY went for adds 3/13 — 4/16 (a month and 3 days later) it was at #68 with 201 spins
    OW went for adds 10/16 — 11/19 (today) it’s #50 with 423 spins.

So, it’s actually doing a bit BETTER than WFY as of now. Nevermind :)

And I just noticed the recurrent chart:

#2 Elliott, Wait For You (2934)
    #15 Daughtry, Home (1046)

Fantasia is #2 on the Urban recurrent chart.

You see, right now Blake is doing pretty damn good at #60 in Mediabase, considering his song will just start to go for radio adds tomorrow. Break Anotha will be a Top 40 hit soon, I am pretty sure.

Also, regarding Blake’s song on I-Tunes, he just hasn’t got any promotion yet. Many people don’t even know the song is even there.
Just wait until he starts doing promos and more radio play and the song will probably climb the I-Tunes chart very fast.

Clive is planning a big launch for Blake so he will be just fine IMO.

I agree. Blake has a hit with his first single.

Tony I agree, I thought he would have had a bigger fan base also. I’m surprised actually, he seemed to have been the biggest draw during the AI tour; so yeah, I’m very surprised that his fanbase couldn’t get him to break past 80. Not quite sure what to make of it, guess we’ll just have to wait and see.

  10. 10 Lu Nov 19th, 2007 at 5:49 pm

I think it’ll pick back up after his official add day tomorrow. Time will tell.

  11. 11 Sarah Nov 19th, 2007 at 7:30 pm

I guess we’ll see about Blake’s single. It sounds like a hit to me, but you never know.

  12. 12 Lu Nov 19th, 2007 at 9:18 pm

Tony - Are you sure about those WFY/OW numbers? I posted those elsewhere and was told they were worong. I want them to be right! :)

  13. 13 Tony Nov 20th, 2007 at 1:45 am

LOL. You’re totally right. I must have been looking at the wrong date.

On 4/16, WFY was #45 with 594 spins.
