Monday Morning Mediabase Update – Aug 9-15

Woo. Lots of action on the airplay charts this week.

Let’s start with Daughtry. Their latest single “September”, went top 10 on HAC and top 40 on AC. This is their third single from their second album and all those singles have reached those milestones. They currently have two singles in the top 40 on AC.

Next up is Chris Sligh who has gone top 30 on CAC. “Only You Can Save” is the first single off of his second album which is also his debut single for his new record label. Also hitting the top 30 is Adam Lambert whose “If I Had You” jumped 9 spots on HAC. That means that song is top 30 in two different formats (Pop/HAC).

Then we have a couple of more milestones on AC. Matt Giruad’s first single (with Jim Brickman) has reached top 40. Meanwhile, Kelly has returned to the charts with “All I Ever Wanted” also breaking into the top 40 on AC.

Finally, let’s have a mention for Season 6 Semi-finalist Jared Cotter. he has turned into quite the successful songwriter. He helped pen Jay Sean’s latest single “2012 (It Ain’t the End)” which reached top 50 on Pop and Rhythmic with some pretty impressive bullets.

Fantasia has recovered her bullets on UAC and Urban and returned to the top 15 on Urban.

All news is not good news. Carrie Underwood’s “Undo It” went recurrent on Country (where you go recurrent with three weeks of spin losses below 1) and Brooke has left the AC chart.
