New American Idol 9 Commercial!
So excited! The new season of American Idol is just around the corner. Premier week feature a one-hour episode Tuesday January 12 and a two-hour episode Wednesday January 13.
During tonight’s So You Think You Can Dance I saw a TV commercial for the new season. Check it out, after the jump. Wonder if any of those featured in the commercial will make it to the show?

Next season may be harder to watch. I don’t think the top 2 will be as good.
As much as I don’t like Adam’s album (few exceptions) and may talk like I hate him, I still think he’s one of the most amazing individuals to grace the show. Graceful, a VERY respectable and honest guy, and (hopefully) a symbol of tolerance in American society. Not a fan of his music or his style, but I adore him as a person, he’s probably in my top 5 Idol contestants just for his personality and how fun he is. Kris is the same way, my all time favorite Idol contestant, proved the ability to prove the odds wrong with a lot of hard work, perseverance, and endurance, not to mention he’s really easy for me to relate to. He’s almost exactly where I want to be when I’m a 24 year old guy (Although I’d probably not be married yet, lol), so in a sense he’s my American Idol. It’s gonna be so difficult to watch Season 9 without them, Allison, Matt, and Paula.
Also concerned about fan wars >_<. I think maybe this year and Ruben's year were the worst, but at the same time I think most, if not all, of the bitter people left or grew up. Although I did threaten to destroy the world when Archie got 2nd (For the record, I like Cook more now) X_X.
But really, a comparison like Kris and Adam in the media would probably be the worst comparison for next season. If a really good favorite and a really good underdog make the finale, the media will surely focus on that aspect in their careers, at least for an obnoxious while. In reality, I do like Kradam and do appreciate it for being inspirational to tolerance, but I think it would be better for both of them to have more of an individual focus.
Not sure what stadium that is at the end but it does appear to be Kris performing Heartless for two seconds. Seguay (sp?) into a Kris commercial.
I cannot believe season 9 is on the horizon. Here we go again…

Just an observation that means nothing, but there was no Kara in that commercial.

Right now the contestants in there are trying to be identified on other boards.
With all the Adam brouhaha, the kris album launched, and the allison album out next week (?), it still seems like we’re in season 8…
I would be quite surprised if season 9 can match or top adam’s vocalization & showmanship, allison’s one-in-a-million wise-beyond-her-years voice, kris’s song-arrangement skills & stealth competitiveness, AND danny’s tug-at-your-heartstrings-but-alienate-many devisiveness.
Of all the Idol seasons, season 8 seems like the one that could be reworked into a movie script.
They showed mostly females getting their golden tickets. That would be consistent with Randy’s prediction of a female winner.
More like “insert favorite idol broke Idol last year! This season sucks.” Or the always scintillating comparisons of insert your favorite idol to every single fracking thing that happens in the new season. sigh.

I’m finally actually excited for season 9. I thought Season 8 almost wore me out, but no. I’m definitely excited.

I have to watch season 9 to see what Ellen does. How will she and Simon interact? Should be fun. Also they’re doing Idol Gives Back again this year, and David Cook has alluded to being involved. Can’t wait for a new season, last season wasn’t a favorite for me.
99% positive it’s Paul Van Dyk’s, “Time of Our Lives”, or at least a cover of it.
