American Idol and So You Think You Can Dance producer, Nigel Lythgoe explained to the ladies of The Talk today why it was important for the judges’ panel to be nice to the contestants, rather than cut them down, a la Simon Cowell.
Yes, Nigel once again takes a few pot shots at Simon (and of course, Simon has given them right back). Nigel also assures us that there WAS constructive criticism from the judges’ panel–but not IN FRONT of the cameras. You see, the panel CARED SO MUCH they would take contestants aside backstage and give them advice. (O rly?)
Also, Nigel reveals that we can expect Lady Gaga to sit on the So You Think You Can Dance judges’ panel at the “end of July”. There are two more Wednesdays in July…
