Paul McCartney Wants to Be a Part of Glee! And Other Scoop

Kristin Dos Santos of E! News moderated the Glee discussion at Tuesday night’s Glee TV Academy at the Music Box in LA.

You can watch pretty much the entire thing right HERE.

Kristen posts a summary of which guest stars are in, and which are out in her latest E Online column. Read more HERE.

Most exciting to me, is one Sir Paul McCartney, who appears to be a Glee fan!

Executive producer Ryan Murphy revealed, “”The other day a package arrived at my office and I opened it up and it said ‘Mixtape From Paul McCartney.’ It was very sweet…It was a CD, I apologize. It was these amazing songs that I grew up with. And I said, “Is this a joke?” It literally said “Greeting, from Paul.” This is a strange, strange world we live in, and it’s awesome.”

Whoa. A Paul McCartney theme? That would rule!  Check out more Glee spoilers from Comic Con HERE.

After the Jump, a list of former and future guest stars:

Jonathan Groff:  He’s busy doing a play in London until January, but Murphy explains: “But yeah, as it moves toward the big competition, I think he has to come back and give Rachel a pep talk, don’t you? So yes, he will be back.”

John Stamos:  He’ll play Jayma Mays (Emma Pillsbury) dentist, whom she dates.  Stamos has some Broadway experience, which is a plus in Murhpy’s book.

Neil Patrick Harris: Murphy says,   “We would love to have Neil back…we have a little problem that he’s a regular on another show. But he’s in the Fox family and they help us out a great deal with that. I think we’ve just begun to see the tip of the villainry for Brian Ryan.”

Javier Bardem:  There were lots of rumors about the Oscar winner making an appearance. Looks like they were true.  Murphy says about meeting Bardem, “It was a very sweet thing, I’m doing a movie, Eat Prey Love, and Javier Bardem is in it with Julia Roberts. I hadn’t met him, and so I went up to him and I said, ‘Buddy, congratulations on your Best Actor nomination at Cannes.’ And he said, “I do not want to talk about that I want to talk about Glee.’ He rented the whole first season and watched them and said it was like crack to him. And he loved what it was about and he asked if I would write him a role. He said, “I want to be a Spanish rock ‘n’ roll star.” And so I’m going to see him this week and we’ll see how he’s going to fit in. It will definitely be in the second half of the season.”

Kristin Chenoweth and Idina Menzel will be back.

Harry Shum Jr. (Mike Chang), Heather Morris, ( Brittany) and Naya Rivera (Santana) will have bigger roles, including a Brittany/Santana smooch and a Mike/Tina romance.
