Paula Abdul attended American Idol tour rehearsal Friday, and took the Idols to dinner at Beso afterward.
After dinner, the Idols hit the dance floor, performing the Paula Abdul choreographed “Don’t Stop til You Get Enough” in the middle of the dance floor. And there was pole dancing. Yes there was!
Paula, Matt Giraud, Anoop Desai, Danny Gokey, Michael Sarver and Scott MacIntyre twittered the deets, plus pictures!
According to Matt, today’s rehearsal was the last in Los Angeles. They’ll be heading to Oregon to get ready for their first concert in Portland on July 5.
From Matt, “Were heading back to the hotel. It was our last day of work until Portland. Next..the big stage. There’s a whole new stage set up this year”

I will add in sexiest for me! The others I guess are attractive enough but they don’t do anything for me.
I’m not going to go into why they’re not that sexy unless you really want to know.
No mention of Kris or pictures either. Was he at this final rehearsal and dinner I wonder?
A person can be very intelligent, and not so articulate. They aren’t the same thing. (A lot of very smart, professional people attend Toast Masters Intl to learn how to speak confidently in public.)
Sexiness is a matter of taste. Adam is a hottie to me (total package), but I do find some other idols attractive/sexy in certain ways. (Including Danny’s arms, altho I like my guys with darker hair. And they have to be tallish). See, totally a matter of taste. :smile2_tb:
I was at a party where I was gushing on Idol and Adam. Finally, someone spoke up and said that she loved Danny and cried when he got voted off. ( I told her I thought Danny had a great voice. ) I think Danny has many fans, maybe not as vocal as the Kris and Adam fans. But I don’t know.
Matt, Paula and Danny are so color coordinated in the picture– funny…
Danny’s arms….yup…..also he has the most beautiful hands.

To posters who questioned why Danny tweeted “..watch the media try 2 distort this”, that was actually the caption under the photo of Paula grapping his head and kissing his cheek. I guess he was “worrying” the media would fabricate a story seeing Paula kissing him.
A lot of posters on Danny’s Fan sites commented Danny was sexy and cute, of course beauty or sexiness is in the eyes of the beholder, however, they did “explain” they loved Danny’s smile, his goofiness & friendliness, his child-like qualities, plus his muscular arms, and the fact that he is pretty well built, and he is very “huggable” whatever that means.
I am not trying to promote his fan sites, but there is one recently built called http://www.dannygokey-star.com. Though it is still under construction, it seems to be pretty comprehensive in its contents, and if you are a Danny fan, I would encourage you to check if out.
I actually didn’t cry when I first found out that Danny was off the show. I know that this sounds sappy but I felt like at that point I had read so much meanspirited junk about Danny that I spent that whole day sort of unsure as to what to even want for him. I so wanted the hate to end, that I didn’t even know what to hope for.
Afterwards, I thought I was stupid to not definately wish him to stay on because he would be assured the recording contract, and because I felt he deserved to stay. But my emotions had gotten the better of me at that point.
However, when he was singing “You Are So Beautiful” at the end of the show, I bawled like a baby. I’m not one to cry like that, but I could really feel his emotion with that song, and I was a puddle.
A lot of people just really, really don’t like what he has said about gay people. That has quite a bit to do with the negativity towards him. Without blaming him for his cousins or thinking that he’s evil, his views on gay people are offensive to many people, straight and gay. I don’t hate the guy, but I’d be reluctant to support an artist who didn’t believe in basic equality.
This was probably posted before, but I thought it worth re-mentioning. The What Not to Sing analysis of how the fan bases shifted from week to week is a really interesting (though somewhat long) read. It breaks down each week’s performance, and tracks how Adam’s, Danny’s and Kris’s fans shifted week after week. It’s analysis is that Danny peaked early (like around top 13 week), but without standout performances (until Rat Pack week) couldn’t build, while Kris and Adam steadily built their bases (though Adam also built a higher negative base than Kris, which in part contributed to his loss). All speculation, but backed up by fan votes after each performance, and a really interesting read.

Regarding an Anoop record deal, I’m also not really expecting it. He is a great, fun, charismatic guy, and would do well as some kind of tv personality, but he wasn’t really the best singer, or the most consistent, and he never seemed to have a very well defined style on the show. I would have no idea what kind of album he’d actually make. JMO.
I guess it all depends wrt fanbases – it’s hard to judge just based on any one source. Where I live, most people seemed to love Danny, they liked Allison, and there was a mixture of loving Adam and hating him.
The “Allison like”, I think, spilled over to her having a lot of sympathy votes in the middle weeks (when people wanted to save her from the B2 or 3 all those weeks), but those people tended to be, first and foremost, Adam fans, who shifted their votes exclusively to him after the B2 scare (hence why I think she got kicked off the next week).
I also think Allison’s star became attached to Adam’s star and she greatly benefitted from this. Her performances became Adamized as time went on and I believe she had help from Kris too.
Good for her though.
