Don't get me wrong, Kara seems very smart and more qualified than both Randy and Paula put together but I can't imagine another permanent judge. I have become so used to having three judges. Four is too much. If I wasn't addicted to AI already I would be way turned off by this. I predict that either Kara or Paula will be out of here by the start of season 9. He really does know what he's doing, so I appreciate that Simon would have the deciding vote in the case of a tie-breaker. This past season had exceptional talent, of whom several will have relatively good careers. Other seasons have seen moderate if very little success from the top ten contestants and I think that's because the talent just wasn't strong enough to make it in the industry.
