Hi everyone. Another Kris fan here. I can’t wait until Friday when his video comes out. I already have his itunes pass and am planning on picking up his CD at walmart as soon as it comes out. I can’t wait until 11/17.

BTW: Has anyone asked MJ to post the details about Kris’s contest in a seperate post?

So what song is in everyone’s head today? For me, it’s “Before We Come Undone”. I was watching the Miami YT vids last night so that’s probably why. I’m with Lyndsey Parker and really really really hope some tv show picks it up. It has grown on me alot thanks to those tailgate videos. I wonder if Kris will do an acoustic version of it this weekend? That would be cool.

how do we know From the Ashes was ‘written by Kris, Lindy Robbins and Toby Gad.’

It was confirmed by 19 yesterday or Monday.

Just checked i-tunes and KA the album (KATA?) is sitting at #8 in pop and #38 in overall. I-tunes still using the old NoBo pic of Kris for the “banner” in the what’s hot section.

Is this thread dying or living?

What bothers me about the Pass that we bought is none of the tracks are listed and, unless something changes, you only get 10 songs. The pre-order is 14 songs including the single (which I bought twice now) and the bonus track.

So I’m really torn on if I should go ahead and pre-order the album. THis is really poor performance on the part of Jive. Certainly they should know by now what they’ll be giving us with the Pass.

Sorry for the confusion.. I knew that “From the Ashes” wasn’t the Mat Kearney song, but I still haven’t given up hope on it and hoping that the Target’s (or some other store that they will release it to) version will include it.

As for “From the Ashes”, I’m assuming that the iTunes Pass will include it and so I’m not too concerned about it. May be I should be concerned…

@Ratna: You’re right. “From the Ashes” is NOT the Mat Kearney song. The song is written by Kris, Lindy Robbins and Toby Gad. These two were the same songwriters Kris wrote “I Need to Know” with.

This is my first pre-order as well. I bought the pass and I’m going to re-order tomorrow to get the bonus tune. I’ll just hope for the best with Apple at a later date.

haha to cookbunny. kudos to SarahP and everyone else getting on the bandwagon!

Starr: As a newbie to this whole Idol business, it’s really fascinating to see how a fanbase works to get their favorites on the charts and get them airplay, etc. It’s like your own little street team! Kris and the rest of the American Idols definitely have it made!

True, they are very lucky. Idol is a huge platform, but not everybody makes it. But I honestly think Kris will. Just think about all of the mentors last year who loooooved Kris (Jamie Foxx, Smokey Robinson, ___________ (can’t remember the others…oh, that Quentin guy said something positive too).

As for the rabid idol fans, a Cook friend of mine last year bought 7 CDs and gave them as Christmas gifts…which seems a little presumptious (I hope her friends share her taste in music!), but she was definitely a dedicated fan!!
