Season 7’s Ramiele Malubay has a newly released Christmas single, “We Are One (This Christmas)” available now.

The song, a ballady R&B tune with a message, should please peeps who were fans of Ramiele’s Idol and tour performances.

She’s a beautiful girl and I really love her voice, but this song is rather boring. Maybe it will grow on me and I’ll have to have it.

Who wrote that god awful song? I can’t believe I listened to the whole song. Ramiele needs to get with the right people, she can do better than that right? I like her on idol until she started to choke and suck. That was just bad, sorry Rami, maybe you should looki into modeling.

Isn’t Michael Johns also releasing a Christmas song? Is this common practice for also-runs? I just find it strange that both of them are doing basically the same thing.
It’s nice. It’s not a ballad, but it’s also not really upbeat either, so I can understand why it appears a bit dull.
I don’t know how common it is. Michael wrote his Christmas song for his family, years before he was on Idol. He’s releasing it now entirely for charity, with the help of Nancy O’Dell. He’ll be performing it on Access Hollywood tonight.
I thought I read that somebody else wrote it for his family? I’m too lazy to go try to find it however…so am I out of my mind or did I read that?

I guess a number of idols have done the Christmas thing over the years, it makes sense since it’s a way to keep their names out there since it would be really hard to get an album out pre-Christmas with the restrictions Idol puts on them re talking to record companies etc.
I think it’s great Ramielle is donating some of the proceeds to charity and that she is getting a song out there. Personally I am not a fan of the song but was never a big Ramielle supporter to begin with. It’s definitely not a song that shows off her vocals, but at least she is trying to get her name out there.
I was mentioning Michael’s song, thinking somebody else had written it. But I have the story straight now. Thanks kbr!
