“A Different World” is going for adds on Tuesday. It’s already 67 on the country chart.
I don’t think he’s finished recording the entire album. I seem to recall reading when he moved to Nashville, that they were going to put together a 6 song demo album to start with. I bet that now they have a label, they have to go scrounge up some more material.

I’ve never seen anything like it. Really not a healthy way to sing. Try talking just stretching your neck up like that and see how strained/pinched your voice becomes. Imagine singing all the time like that - ouch!

I’m beginning to think that *** has a problem since all these photos with legs in the air , micro short skirts and all spraddled out on the chairs . Jeesh I wish that would girl stop airing it out in public. Keep it behind closed doors and buy a fan , for goodness sake.

Weighing in on the whole Anna situation. From what I’ve been reading on both boards, my feels are that Anna seems to be more disillusioned because of her expectations of Taylor then anything else.
Also, has any pictures surfaced from Taylor’s sighting at the Basketball game Friday night.

Yes, he “weighed in” more than once in the past couple of months in directly asking the subject poster [I’m paraphrasing slightly] to stop her redundant and repetitive comments. When you choose to be a very vocal participant on any board you can reasonably expect that you will get a response. Subject poster is known for asking “So, what do you think?” at the end of comments she posts here. I’m of the impression that she is not a child and is prepared for responses to her comments.
I’m hoping that this subject ends today, not to return. The guidelines allow pretty broad latitude in what can be discussed, but this topic and the space devoted to it today just doesn’t feel right to me.
This is Bucky performing his single live on the GAC tour. I think it proves he can perform it outside of the studio very nicely.

RSF, I just had to chime in on this. I am sitting here giggling about your remark because I have understood every word Bucky ever sang. I’m listening to the video now and don’t know the song, but, yep, I understand every word.
I think it’s because I speak the same language Bucky does - with a really thick accent. I have to admit, his is more Southern and mine’s more TX twang, but I DO understand him.

The Buckster will do fine. Bob Dylan has made a career for himself mumbling all the way. I don’t understand a thing that comes out of his mouth. Dylan makes the Buckster sound eloquent in comparison. ( sorry Dylan fans JMHO ).
Yep, Chris is short. So am I. Sucks being short sometimes. But he sure as hell can sing! Being “vertically challenged” (as I like to call it) sure didn’t seem to hamper that fact!
Anyway, wooo hooo! GEAUX SAINTS! And GO COLTS! As I said last week, I could care less about the stats, except the most important one and that is the W in the win column. And the Colts notched another one of those “W”’s today, and are fricking going to the AFC Championship on the strength of their WHAT?! DEFENSE! Who woulda thunk?!
I am pumped about this, in case you can’t tell. And with AI6 starting in just 3 days, it’s almost too much to handle. LOL.

It is really cold here in California! Your oranges are going to cost $1 apiece next week, that is the ones that don’t freeze. Lettuce, strawberries, cabbage and alot more. Gov. Schwarzeneger declared a disaster today. So, even if we don’t have snow and ice…..we grow most of the fruit and veggies in the U.S. and are not used to freezes. We are setting records. (Go Pats!)

I didn’t know that about rabies. not something I would like to encounter. We were discussing an episode from the tv show House where the actress, who also played on the show 24, was bitten by bats and died of rabies. I have always had a healthy fear of bats.

just listened to the live version of Bucky’s song and darned if I didn’t understand all the words to this version too. Wonder if Bucky was trying to hard to sound like everyone else on idol and not let his more “country” sound sneak into his performances. He sounds wonderful in his element and I could understand him so much more. Sometimes we try so hard that we overcorrect our natural tendancies. But who knows. Madonna and Gwyennth now think they should speak with british accents. LOL.

chris continuing to sing with the mic over his head makes me realizes with a certainty that he didn’t read the master music lady’s comments about him raising his head up. I hadn’t thought about the issue before but it does inhibit your voice. It must be comfortable to him but it sure looks strange. Makes me hurt just watching him.

I believe mj confirmed that she did not make it through to the Hollywood round?….And I’m not sure about the Toscano part, but I’ve known/met three people in my life named Pia. I suspect that Toscano is a fairly common Italian surname.

She’s currently competing in some contest called My Grammy Moment. She was cut before the Top 40.
Well I thought she was great. She doesn’t make it through yet people like Bobby and David get all the way to the top 24?? Damn, the talent pool this year better not be anything short of stellar.
And all I know about Italian is that it’s usually spoken in Italy. :)

Here’s where I saw it Tony - in comments under mj’s 1/04/07 post. I notice the archives don’t always have the full content of the original post. That one from 1/04/07 had contestant info, pictures, etc. which are referred to in the comments below. I remember the contestant info — but it seems to have disappeared.
All this talk about Chris being so short got me to thinking about my other favorite musical artists - U2 and Prince. Well, Bono is only 5′6.5 and Prince is only 5′2. I guess I must like my men short! Their lack of physical height sure hasn’t hampered their musical success, that’s for sure.
