- Syesha Mercado – “Proud Mary” by Ike and Tina Turner – Sexy
- Jason Castro – “I Shot the Sheriff” by Bob Marley – Marley style, very funky
- David Archuleta- “Stand by Me” – Solid performance
- David Cook – à ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã…“Baba Oà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢Rileyà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬ – Incredible. Started off slow. Brought the house down.
- Syesha Mercado – “Change is Gonna Come” – Screachy, but ended pretty. She looked gorgeous.
- Jason Castro – “Mr. Tambourine Man” – It was just OK. Audience didn’t connect with it.
- David Archuleta - “Love Me Tender” by Elvis Presley – Solid performance.

I really enjoyed Jason’s performance! It made me smile. I thought he was ON. It didn’t have big glory notes and for that…..ARGH!

I am absolutely obsessed with David Cook, and I love his song choices, but I agree that the first performance was flawless but nothing beyond what he’s done before. He needs a long note somewhere.
However, I do recall that his brother wanted him to sing some Duran Duran at some point, so maybe that’s why he chose the song? I’m glad they didn’t talk about it on the show if that’s the case.
I’m disgusted by Archuleta usually, but admittedly, he was the best so far.
Cook is getting ready for number 2. Please, God….

If Jason goes tonite I will not be voting or watching the rest of the season. If Idol thinks things are slow now, wait til all the Jason fans leave. Can we say 1,000s and 1,000s. Those judges are so transparent its ridiculous. Archie has forgotten his words at least twice and made a zillion mistakes but they never say anything. Its always ‘da bomb’.
