Site Outage Tonight at 2AM ET
UPDATE: The work was completed last night…faster than expected! If there are any problems tonight, the techs will be on hand to do some server optimization. But other than that, it looks like we are good to go. Thanks for your patience…
The site will be going offline at approximately 2 am ET tonight in order to upgrade the Database server, which as you all know, has been running really slowly lately.
I expect the server to be down for at least a few hours. I’ll keep you updated on twitter. Check out my twitter page HERE.
Also, those of you who are missing the chat room: I’ve been in contact with the software vendor, and they are helping me sort out the issue. I hope to have it resolved soon. Thanks for your patience…

Well, this helps me in my quest I started a few nights ago to start going to bed at an decent time. Tonight is as good a time as any my 11:00 p.m.

Hope the upgrade fixed some of the stuff that’s made running this site harder for you. I really appreciate all the effort you put into making this site run so smoothly.
Although I’m starting to hang of clicking “Older” and manually editing page numbers in the URL, I am really hoping that eventually you get the ability to have a “See All” page back. I think because it’s now a bit harder to read back through the whole thread, the threads tend to have more repeat link postings and discussions. But that’s probably not the priority, although hopefully it comes before graphic smileys (LOL, sorry, but I’m weirdly anti-graphic-smiley myself, although I do not begrudge others the pleasure).

Er, that’s always been the case. Some people just won’t scroll back no matter how I set it up. I’d have to start putting people in moderation to change that behavior.
But in the meantime, I am working on getting page numbers.
