So You Think You Can Dance - Jessica King is Out with Broken Ribs - Doctor Orders 4 Weeks to Heal

According to folks who attended the So You Think You Can Dance taping for Wednesday night’s performance show, Jessica King explains to the audience that her competition-ending injury is due to broken ribs. Her doctor says she needs 4 weeks to heal in order to be able to tour with the rest of the Top 10 this fall.

Comfort Fedoke, eliminated last week, takes Jessica’s place in the Top 10.

For the spoilery inclined, check out last night’s spoiler post. I’ve been updating! Thanks to the spoilers at TWOP for some very detailed information…

Oh by the way, David Archuleta’s version of “Imagine” figures into Wednesday night’s broadcast…

Broken ribs? Holy Moly how did THAT happen? :ohmy_tb:

so does that mean Comfort doesn’t get to tour? seems weird that she wouldn’t be on the tour since she’s now officially participating in the top 10 performances, and esp if she advances on the show

Comfort may be quickly re-sent home.

The way I understand it is that they will take 4 alternate/additional dancers on the Tour, along with the Top Ten.

So, since Comfort was just eliminated last week (with Thayne) in spots 11/12, I would think that Comfort would most probably go on the Tour as one of the 4 alternate/additional dancers, even if she’s sent home again this week.

Or, she may qualify as a Top 10 dancer, since she’s back competing in the Top 10. But either way, it seems to me that Comfort will most probably get to tour.

    Hurray for Archie’s Imagine!
My fav performance of the S7.
Will it be the live performace version or did he record it in the studio? anyone know?

Didn’t MJ post last week that Nigel announced after the show that Comfort and Thayne were going on the tour? I could swear I read that here.

Yes, Comfort and Thayne were already going on tour anyway so this isn’t a big deal.

Can’t wait to see Katee and Will dancing to Imagine. Wonder if it’s the live version that was on iTunes or a recorded version? Most likely it’s the live version.

Duke I dont think he ever recoded it in the studio. His top 24 imagine is longer than top 2. but neither was recorded in studio. Perhaps since it is 19/nigel they are able to filter out any cheers and stuff.

Poor Jessica! How on earth did she end up breaking ribs? Lift gone awry…

Perhaps since it is 19/nigel they are able to filter out any cheers and stuff.

The iTunes versions of the live performances were definitely cleaner with sharper sound and the audience much quieter in comparison to the broadcast. Hooray for the magic of mixers. :biggrin_wp:
