Paris and Tony are eliminated. VIDEO

The right two dancers went home.   Tony was the weakest of the 20, even his personality couldn’t make up for it. And Paris had the double wammy of weak performance plus no screen time. She was doomed.

Back from break, the judges are back at their table, they are ready to make their cuts.   The judges are unanimous with their cuts for the girls.   Nigel says Karla’s solo was strong, but she needs to be careful it isn’t just a series of steps, and that she brings her own personality.   The judges felt Karla did enough to remain in the competition. Karla is SAFE.   Now, it down to Asuka and Paris.   Nigel explains that the decision isn’t just what they saw this evening, but everything they know about the dancers, plus casting is taken into consideration.   He tells Asuka it’s difficult when all she’s got going for her is a Latin ballroom and Jive plus personality. He tells Paris that she didn’t bring everything she could, and that comparing her to all the other contemporary dancers in the show, the judges decided to eliminate her.   Paris gets a hug from Cat and a goodbye video set to Kelly Clarkson’s “Already Gone”.

Again, the judges are in total agreement for the guys.   The judges   didn’t think any of the guys danced very well tonight, and that none of them were good enough to stay in the competition for very long. “Vitolio, last night and tonight, we never saw the personality we know you have.” says Nigel.   They decide to give Vitolio another chance, with a warning that he has to regain the personality they saw in Vegas.       Nigel felt both Tony and Jonathan biffed it, despite dancing in their genres, but Jonathan was better than Tony the night before.   Nigel goes on to criticize Tony’s locking. He also criticizes Jonathan’s dancing, but feelt his gymnastics made up for it.   In the end, they decide to keep Jonathan. Tony is going home. A very disappointed Tony gets a goodbye set to “On Your Own” by Green River Ordinance. And we’re out…
