I am far, far too excited for my own good.

    Performance Spoilers from IDF

    Thanks Chachi!

Thanks cc! Sounds like another fantastic show! I’m glad my favorite 2 couples did well again :)

  4. 4 baxter Jun 24th, 2008 at 12:50 am

Oh Lo….CC is excited. Gunna make for an interesting night in chat on Wed!!! And thanks for the link. My Favorites did well which makes me too freakin happy. :)

I’m just happy that it sounds like Katee/Joshua did well with the samba. Was scared when it was leaked earlier that that was what they got. I’m also happy to hear that Mark/Chelsie did well. Those are probably the only two couples I care about.

Those are the two I find myself caring about too. Joshua and Katee for me have been awesome and I’m finding myself loving the contrast between Mark and Chelsie. I totally love his quirkyness or would that be quirkiness? However it’s spelled, I’m loving it. I’m just hoping for a bit of a better connection between Chelsie and Mark.

    I can’t wait!

Am lovin’ the dancers this season…even the couples who are not as good as others, seem to be a wee bit more talented than dancers of past seasons. Thoroughly enjoying the show thanks to Mj’s clips.

Me too. But, since they put them last, I’m assuming that they really do it well.

For me, any of Chelsea T. & Thayne and Chris & Comfort can go and I won’t care.

I’m not sold on Napoleon and Tabitha yet. Apparently, they’re fond of the “lyrical” hip hop. Which is fine, but I like to see the real kind too. And, I like to see hip hop to actual hip hop music. First Jordin Sparks, now Leona Lewis?

Last time they choreographed 2 routines, one sucked and the other was great. So, I’m assuming Twitchington got the sucky one this week. I hope it doesn’t put them in the bottom 3.

I can’t wait until tomorrow night!! Katee/Joshua and Chelsie/Mark are my 2 favorites as well, but Twitchington runs a close 3rd. I think they’ll be safe though, they seem awfully popular. And even if they aren’t, Treebread/Comfort and Thayne/Chelsea are there to get kicked off before them.

Oh, and I forgot to mention - thanks for braving the IDF for us MJ. I don’t know how you can do it. I can’t visit any forum that has that many banners and, well, that much fan love lol.

I did go back to reread the spoilers, since I really just skimmed through them the first time. And, I noticed that Mary kicked Chelsea T. off the Hot Tamale Train! Wow - that was harsh. I don’t think she’s ever actually kicked anyone off the train before.

I can’t even imagine what kind of dance will be done to the Manson song, but it sounds interesting. Sadly, it will be performed by some of the less-than-talented dance couples on the show. It might be what sends both home. We shall see.

I am really looking forward to the two hip-hop numbers. Should be loads of fun!

Matt and Contemporary - Thank yewwwww!

  13. 13 MN Sue Jun 24th, 2008 at 9:37 am

Thayne and Chelthe and the Quick Thtep - Damn! That dance screams for his stupid “Bob” smile.

    SPOILERS! *squee*

Good grief, I have to hear Leona being played for another couple I like now? First Celine, and now Leona?!?!?! D: At least I can stand “Bleeding Love” much better than whatever Dion song they played last week…

And OMG, my prayers for Umatt with contemporary were ANSWERED, and with a choreographer like Sonya freaking Tayeh, no less! Thank you, SYTYCD gods!

Now, I just need to stay calm until 8PM tomorrow. Bleh.

I’m not sold on Napoleon and Tabitha yet. Apparently, they’re fond of the “lyrical” hip hop. Which is fine, but I like to see the real kind too.

    …I miss Shane. :(

  15. 15 Dream Baby Dream Jun 24th, 2008 at 1:44 pm

    …I miss Shane. :(

Me too. And Wade. I know, I know…Wade was not hip hop…but the two of them were the choreographers that always made me want to tune in, even if that particular style isn’t necessarily my cup of tea. They got some GREAT performances out of some dancers that no one else really seemed to be able to do.

I do have to say though, while I’m not 100% sold on Tabitha and Napoleon yet, I’m far more drawn to their style of hip hop choreography than I am to either Cicily and Olisa’s or Dan Karaty’s. While it may be a bit more lyrical than some people like, at least there is something there which requires two people to dance as opposed to simply two people doing the same exact things and hopefully getting them synchronized. In that way, their choreography is similar to Shane’s…when he did a number, I was always drawn into it, and even when it wasn’t a more lyrical piece, there was a purpose for having the two dancers on the stage.

I am too excited about seeing the clips from this show!! I am loving all the dancers altho my top three are the usual. Love Josh and Katee, Mark and Chelsey and Twitchington.

Good for Jessica! Last week I don’t think it was she was THAT bad, it was just Will was that good! I watched that clip about 3 times before I could watch her. He just naturally drew my eye to him.

Thank you MJ!!! I can’t wait to get up tomorrow, have my coffee and watch SYTYCD!!

  17. 17 Sarah Jun 24th, 2008 at 6:18 pm

I miss Shane and Wade too.

For some reason, I had a feeling that Katee/Joshua would get a latin ballroom this week and I’m glad that they apparently did well with it! I also had a feeling that Kourtni/Matt would get contemporary. Glad I was right!!

I am NOT looking forward to “Bleeding Love” though. I liked the song for a while, but now if I never hear it again, my feelings would not be hurt.

Thank you for the spoilers MJ and Chachi! :)

  18. 18 daisy Jun 24th, 2008 at 6:33 pm

:clap_tb: Love that Katee and Joshua are smoking on the
samba! The song selections this wk seem a bit off, but will reserve comments until the show. I think Comfort may be bye bye this wk.not sure about the boys

Jessica King and William Wingfield - Disco by Doriana Sanchez

I know some may not like Disco, but it is one of my favorite dances. Doriana has provided some cool moves in the past and it seems Jessica is doing better.

I also enjoy watching Kherington Payne and Twitch perform, but as has been stated, there are a lot of good dancers this year.

Alrighty then…so my friend was at the taping on Monday and here’s what he said about each:

Twitchington – good – their dance was some sort of jail break
Courtney & Gev – surprisingly sexy
Comfort & Chris – disappointing (my friend is a huge Tyce fan so he had high expectations for this one)
Chelsea & Thayne – had performance-style smiles plastered on their faces the whole time; it was a very complicated dance and seemed too hard for them
Kourtni & Matt – an odd contemporary number; just unusual
Jessica & Will – good job for both dancers but Will is just an incredible performer
Chelsea & Mark – the routine was about a business man leaving his wife and she loves him and wants him to stay (he said that everyone lept to their feet at the end of this; only standing ovation of the night – just really superb)
    Katee & Joshua – Awesome

He said that they definitely saved the best 2 performance until the end of the show.

  21. 21 Hisaki Jun 25th, 2008 at 4:07 pm

Kourtni & Matt – an odd contemporary number; just unusual

Well, Sonya Tayeh does the “oddball” kind of choreography (like Mia, I guess, but apparently more “oddball” than Mia can get). I’ve been looking at Sonya’s stuff over the past few days and I really, really like it, so I am REALLY looking forward to seeing the choreography she did for them. :_

  22. 22 sumidol Jun 25th, 2008 at 4:19 pm

Well good for Katee & Joshua and it looks like the “Matt” girls will be happy too. I cannot get in to vote though, darn it. It says my user name is not valid but I see myself in there??? Oh well

  23. 23 SpenserJ Jun 25th, 2008 at 4:24 pm

So excited to see more info - thanks for bringing it to us Hessilou.

    had performance-style smiles plastered on their faces the whole time;

I do believe that Thayne has the most annoying smile I’ve ever seen. Last week, I was thinking - Mia, if you’re going to criticize Kherington for smiling too much - uh shouldn’t you mention something to Thayne. That boy has the worst pageant smile I’ve ever seen.

  24. 24 brie200 Jun 25th, 2008 at 5:30 pm

It’s like I know Katee/Joshua did well and yet I’m still nervous for them. I think just because the little bit of the internet I troll it seems like they don’t have the rabid fanbases of a lot of the other couples. I guess some think they are overpimped and etc. Also there seems to still be some anger directed at Katee from the “Making the Top 20″ episode.

I’m not a fan of overpimping on anyone and I thought they were a tad overpraised for their Broadway last week, but along with Chelsie/Mark I think they are the class of this field. I’d put Twitchington and Courtney/Gev a notch or two below both of the other couples. And Will, well, he probably would have been better off with a different partner. Everybody else could leave tomorrow and I wouldn’t notice.

Am I going to actually have to vote this season? I really don’t want to.

  25. 25 Dream Baby Dream Jun 25th, 2008 at 6:53 pm

Tonight may be the first time I ever vote on this show…LOL…
