Wade Robson says on his website that he and his wife are Ãƒ ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã…â€œdesigning a competition dance for Show 1.Ãƒ ¢Ã¢â€š ¬

Nigel tweeted a while back that there would be pieces choreographed by Wade Robson, Shane Sparks, and Mia Michaels in the first performance show. And basically said that both Wade and Shane are back as regular choreographers this season. Which I am SO EXCITED about. I love me some NapTab, but we really need some good, hard-hitting hip hop like this routine from season 3. This is the one Shane was nominated for an Emmy for, I believe. This one pretty much rocked too, even though Shane didn't choreograph it.

I agree. The dancers were great. You can still find it on many filesharing sites; also the Australian version, if you wanted to go that route. I’m not endorsing… just saying….

It’s interesting that Nigel has said this is a girls year, because it seems like there’s a lot of fodder on the girls side right now. After watching these introductory vids the only girl I’m finding really memorable and interesting is Melissa. I’m beginning to actively dislike judges-fav Asuka, and I’m going to have to see all the contemporary girls dance again a couple times to be able to tell them apart. The guys seem more diversified. Vitolio intrigues me, I still like Evan a lot (he’s like the perfect blend of Benji and Travis), and I think Jason is going to go far based on his versatility.

God I love SYTYCD. It seems I will never escape the American Idol obsession, but I always have so much more fun watching this show every summer than I have watching Idol.

Until we get to the end, you’ll be picking who you think is going to be voted off. You also make one overall pick of who you think will win the whole thing. Usually, we have a couple of weeks to make that pick. You can also change your overall pick later (if you change your mind, or if they get voted off), it will just be worth less points the later you pick it.

Just got through watching all the Get to Know videos. I felt I could connect with all the guys. However, there were a few girls for whom I just felt blah about. I don’t want to say names because for me it really is about the dancing. But I’ve got to wonder about them being able to connect through their dance if they have no personality in these interviews. Hopefully they transform when they get on stage.

Hmm, Jeanette & Brandon could be a pretty strong team. They’ve both got major skills, and she’s got the advantage of being trained as a partner dancer. Interesting. Assuming that they’re both not completely bland on tv, they could go deep.

Time to sign up for the pool I guess!
