Kim(DogDoc's) Grand Prairie, Tx Idol Recap

Got back from LMBO and concert. The Nokia theatre is a great venue! The idols were commenting that they could see people's faces!! Taylor said a couple of times that he really liked the theatre, the sound is really good in it.

Everyone was great. I really like Chris and Elliots duet.. Wonderful. I had great, great seats. I think a couple of them actually looked at me for a second. LOL. I was the nutcase singing to their songs and whooping all the time (not wooing- Texas Aggies Whoop.) Kat yet again puts foot in the mouth she says y'all and makes a joke about saying y'all. Ummm - if everyone in LA makes fun of every other state in the country, I don't ever want to visit there. Anyway - Kat looked great and sang very well. Taylor was fantastic - I was hesitant about going to the concert, but the time Taylor was on I was ready to get up on stage and dance and sing with everyone. LOL Actually I sang most of the words to most of their songs -- probably annoying everyone around me.

OK -- I do not want Taylor's bod, I just want to dance with him. He looks like he is having so much fun. He was very close too. Instead of saying he was taking us to church, he said he was taking us to the country. He lives in the country. HN was the best song -- everyone was grooving to it and he looked like he was loving every minute.

Bucky and Kellies duet was fun. Bucky looked like he was having a ball. Kellie did a little back to front bump and grind. I hope Bucky's wife wasn't there. At the end Bucky dipped Kelly. They were laughing by the time Bucky left.

Chris looks like he is going to fall over backwards the way he holds the microphone. It is far above him. He sang great. I sang along with him. HEE HEE. He pointed a couple of times at some girls that were close to me They were big Chris fans.

I enjoyed everyone and loved, loved, loved the concert. Dallas gave them all love. Although the second half got a little more love than the first half. The entire audience stood for We Are the Champions and Living IN America. Taylor and Chris were goofing around with each other. At the end of the show, Taylor kept saying Chris Daughtry and pointing to him, then he ran up Taylor and then the did one of those guys punch each other things.

If you listened to the cellcert that was me Whooping not wooing. Texas Aggies whoop they do not woo. Whooping comes from the diaphragm and is quite long and loud. I am sure by now the American Idols have figured that out and so did most of the people surrounding me.

I am just going to hit high points since the concert has been recapped to death. I will say one thing - the Nokia theatre is a great venue. Brand spanking new. Great sound. Mandisa came out and said she loved the venue, because she could see everyone's face. Taylor commented several times during his set at how the sound was great and it was like a theater-- (ummm I could get snarky here, but I won't do that to our Taylor)

An aside. fAt thanks for defending me during the cellcert -- I think.

Loved the concert. It was like I had been crawling through the desert and found a stream and drank thirstily, then got water toxicity and went a little crazy. ( yeah cattle can get water toxicity.)

Mandisa, Lisa, Paris were all good. There are definitely no gay people on the buses, because the girls would not be wearing half the clothes they are wearing if the guys from Queer guys were around. ( I am sorry if I am hurting any gay peoples feeling stereotyping inappropriately.) Paris's outfit made her middle look way too thick. Although she needs to wear the orange shirt in Austin for all the Tsippers. Kellies pants were painted on her. Kat's outfit was beautiful.

Paris had everyone standing through an entire song first. Lisa and Paris' choreography was not all that bad.

Bucky was fun. Yes I sang Drift Away. His duet with Kellie was great. She did a little bump and grind thing on him. He was smiling and having a good old time. At the end he dipped Kellie and they were both laughing. Was the Bucksters wife around?

Bucky reminds me of some of the cowboys I've worked with, I need to get his hat and baptise it though. Drag it through some mud, sweat, manure and fire ants - it looks too darn clean.

I think Chris wore the same hat Bucky wore and I thought - yikes he could get head lice, then I remembered - he has no hair!

Both Ace and Bucky did the head up and down thing and hair flying in front of guitar player. That is going to give them a headache -- ouch.

Chris' microphone was way too high. He was about to fall backwards during his entire set. Chris did smile several times. He pointed at some girls close by me. Big Chris fans.

Elliott and Chris duet --- love it, love it. Katja if you are reading this I need the duet for my Ipod, oh I think I may have it already, well I need it again. Forgot the name of the song, but they really really need to record it together. Everyone standing up and giving Elliot alot of love. We love you Elliot was said a few times. Maybe even by me - hee hee.

Elliot has improved tremendously. I want to see him on tour again .

Hubby's comments on concert. It was good. He did not scream. He smiled a few times. He said he thought the girls needed to wear skimpier outfits and get breast implants. I told him I thought Kat had implants, he said they did not do a good enough job. ( I do not have implants - he is just snarking - I think.)

Really liked Patience.

Taylor, Taylor Taylor ---- Just great. Yeah he is cute and all, but I really like his smile, dancing and singing. Not interested in body. Just the dancing and singing. If he would have pulled me up on stage I would have danced and sang with him all night. (Oh wait -- I did but not on stage.)

Loved Hollywood Nights. Mentioned Dallas in the song. It was his best song of the night. Everyone standing. Lots of dancing on other songs. He did a crazy thing with the jumbo tron camera. He would get his head right in front of it and move crazy. I guess it was for the folks up top of the theatre.
Banged the tambourine on his leg not the chest - he must have made his chest sore. Acted like harp and tambourine on fire. I have to admit - his set is kind of a blur because I was really into it alot. I think he might have looked at me for a second. Whatever.

I sang through we are the Champions. All the idols were smiling through it. The hall stayed standing for both the last two songs.
