Some people outside when I was leaving said they were offering tickets to Idol shows to the people who were leaving, but they didn't offer us anything. I haven't been to a ton of tapings, but the last one I went to was the NGAB finale (also Fox produced). We got there at 4:30 and were inside by 5:00. They immediately started with a "warm-up" guy and filming crowd "reaction" shots. Within 20-30 minutes of that, they were shooting the real show. Eh, it’s pretty obvious Idol makes more money from the TV show than the labels will ever make from the kids afterwards. Yes even Carrie, Daughtry and Kelly.
