   Where do you think Kat will be in 5 years? I PREDICT (I love that word!) divorced twice with a few kids to carry around, with no career in either music or movies or anything else for that matter. Just saying…. And yes, you can write that down and quote me.

   That said, Taylor has said I don’t know how many times, he is a *working musician* and that live performing/touring is his *creative and monetary bread and butter* - that’s what he’s done in the past, and now that he’s got the clout, he’ll be doing the same thing in larger venues, in addition to putting out albums maybe every 1 1/2 to 2 years - don’t forget he’s a great songwriter too - take a listen to “Somehow” for a sample. And CERTAINLY he’s not the type to stay put in one place like Vegas, for heaven’s sake, AFan LOL!!

   Don’t you know Taylor’s history or what he’s recently said?

   Hicks in Vegas would be a must see though. I wouldn’t be against going that route at some point. That’s nothing to be ashamed of. All the greats of the past have done it and it’s a quite lucrative gig.

   Wow Chris is really close to Clay. Eventually he may pass him up and have the second biggest debut of any Idol and biggest debut of a non-winner.

   Good job DAUGHTRY.

   Squishy - You better pray little d’s career doesn’t end up like Clay’s. Living proof that debut album sales may not have ANY bearing on future sales or success in the music industry. Mark my words. Without albums sales, he will be up sh*t’s creek - he certainly can’t rely on live shows - Chris’ personality and abilities in that arena are sorely lacking.

    If Taylor got a gig like Celine Dion and Elton John in Las Vegas, I will definitely go see him there.

    In performing ability in comparison to Taylor Hicks?

    Very much so.

    We won’t even get into the fact that only one’s a real musician.

    I haven’t (and never will) hot Dave - but I’ve seen enough to know that Chris’ performing style is strickly a copy-kat wallet chain/guyliner act that’s been done a zillion times before - from true talents - originators of the genre.

    To be perfectly honest, I feel thats whats missing this year on Idol.
    No one sings with SOUL.. They’re some good belters, but the SOUL just ain’t coming through…I Know I know, I used ain’t…

    you can’t say anything about Chris performance abilities unless you’ve seen him live. period. you have no idea what the atmosphere is like in there or how well he performs.

    Wow. Truth: If it wasn’t for LisaB posting her wonderful articles everyday, I would stop posting a daily chat thread.

    Either that, or I could just ban Season 5 talk. Or make “Taylor Hicks” and “Chris Daughtry” banned words in my filter. I am seriously considering it.

    Maintaining a chat thread full of adults (some way way way into adult hood) squabbling like middle-school girls at the playground is not my idea of scintillating reading. Sorry.
