Would love to see Suckjaya sing Travis Tritt’s ” 10 Feet Tall and Bullet Proof”. :lol_tb:

I don’t know why I care, but I find Olivia Mojica’s new attempt at “fame” so incredibly sad…

Two country songs that I love are “Stupid Boy ” by Keith Urban and “Long Trip Alone” by Dierks Bentley. I’m not sure that any of the guys on AI6 could pull either one of them off but I can bet that three gentlemen from AI5 could ( Taylor , Elliott and Chris D.) I think Taylor could hit both of those songs out of the park with that smokey voice of his.
I hope Phil chooses wisely and does a good job. He does have a good voice and he seems like a nice guy and he seems very grateful to be given this opportunity.

Well, she’s making a lot of people happy.

And I wasn’t stating a mere opinion; I was trying to make a point which I think is fact

I believe that makes it - gasp! - an opinion.

    Oh, another smartass.

The reason I used the word “think” was because I did not go out and scientifically prove what I had to say, it’s just somethig I’m pretty sure of.

The word “think” doesn’t change it from fact to opinion, BTW. Galileo thought that the Earth went around the Sun, but he viewed it as fact, even though he hadn’t proven it yet.

Fact: I think AI is far from a pure talent competition.
Opinion: I think AI being far from a pure talent competition is a bad thing.

A fact can be found and agreed upon, while an opinion might never be agreed upon simply because no fact/s would change it.

    Curiosity question: Do you watch???

Only my love Sanjaya.. and ocassionally I’d watch someone else, like Jordin or melinda. The rest are all -meh-* to me. I liked Blake a lot to begin with, but his singing ability hasn’t really taken me over.

    *opinion

Consider the source, but I feel sorry for the kid.

Poor Sanjaya, he has critics everywhere he goes! The flouncy haired American Idol contestant attended a Dodgers/Padres baseball game at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles on April 14 and was met with a surprising reaction when the stadium’s cameras were trained on the reality show superstar…..

For Beesims and any other Bucky fans out there. His CD got a good review in the NY Times this morning.

Bobbi and JJ, Floating away yet?

I just tried to go to the gym, and I couldn’t get there. Literally, every egress is flooded. I’m stuck in this house until the waters start to subside. I’m glad we have a row boat. You????

Schools are closed. The town I live in is surrounded by rivers and streams. So far the basement is dry (knock on wood!) My husband’s going to try to go to work in a little while, we’ll see how far he gets.

Make sure he wears a lifevest.

Bobbi and JJ, Floating away yet?

Luckily we live in the Pochuck Mountains and not in Vernon Valley, so our house is dry. However, my husband has been on the road for three hours driving to Newark. Normally takes him an hour and a quarter. I wish I’d insisted he stay home. I see Noah’s ark on the horizon! :wink_ee:

Bobbi and JJ, thanks for the heads up about the NY Times review of Bucky’s CD. As a long time NY Times reader, I never imagined that Bucky would ever score a review in the “Gray Lady”, let alone a good one. I’m stoked!

Morning. Hope all you jersey girls stay safe. Long Island was supposed to get hit the worst but happy to say I’ve seen much worse storms since I’ve been here. Still looking forward to those “May flowers” though.

MJ, I think you are a Monkees fan. Check out this site for Peter Tork.

Oh whine, whine, whine! We have snowflakes the size of golfballs here. Why don’t you burn some calories by cleaning your house or whipping up a home-cooked meal?
