I still see alot of the same people on the blog.
I am going to watch the finale and I did see TH up here in Portland. I slipped in and out of the joint with a friend. Didn’t hang around to get autograph etc. Actually I was a bit snookered so I am quite happy I did not hang around. The dance floor at the Crystal Ballroom is quite bouncy.
Was Elliot on the show last week? I haven’t been keeping up with anyone. I didn’t even know that Taylor was on the Tonight Show. Is Daughtery going to be on AI Tuesday?
Who is going to be on the finale? I assume Taylor, but is anyone from season 5 or previous seasons?
I’m not sure what Jordin’s religious beliefs have to do with much. Melinda’s religious beliefs were just as strong- does that mean she will be limited in the type of music that she records too?
Carrie was religious- first single about Jesus even won her a Dove Award- didn’t stop her from recording Before He Cheats.
And perhaps AI wants to somewhat tap into the contemporary Christian market? There’s some money to be made in that genre of music.
Sanjaya sounds like a 17 year old when he sings, Jordin doesn’t.
I don’t want BT producing Blakes album, he’s kinda out dated now. And Blake likes to make fun of boybands, yet BT produced some of JC Chasez solo stuff, and even the song “Pop” By Nsync
I voted for Elliott after Ace and then Taylor. I only voted for Taylor b/c I didn’t want Kat to win. I wanted a realy musician vs. a pageant queen.
I’m way behind because I spent a fun weekend in Nashvegas, so I’ve just been skimming.
Can I say again that Blake is a GOOD SINGER. He is not a belter, but my boy can sing.
I would challenge Jordin to fall on her face singing many of the tunes Blake has doen this year.
PJ: The flip side of that coin: let’s hear Blake sing some of the songs that Jordin has sung and hit the notes. Um, yeah.
They both have different appeals- but I don’t think they can be compared directly- because they are too different.
Well, that’s exactly my point. I keep reading these articles that say Jordin is a better singer and I think that’s carp. They have different strengths. So, yes, we agree.
Didn’t I predict at the beginning that BB boy was going to win?
Taylor with harmonica and BB boy. Should be interesting finale.
Not if they want her to go the sleazy, sexy pop route.
And I like Michael W. Smith as well. I grew up on his music.

I am listening to this interview with Blake that Star posted earlier and I agree with her… lots of the interview with Blake has been taken out of context in the media. LOL. Not surprising, I guess.

little d has a long way to go before he catches up to the Aiken. I’m not just talking sales either, although there’s that too. Clay is working on his 5th CD now, not including the 2 he released before AI. Let’s wait and see if little d even has a career in 5 years.

Quite an impressive career. And, don’t forget, they opened the show for Idol Gives Back on April 25th. Clive Davis actually bought their contract at one time. A very interesting read.
