   Am I the only one who doesn’t think they kicked Taylor to the curb? Maybe, just maybe, he put out the CD he wanted. Well, he reaped what he sowed. It’s not personal.

   Sure, he hasn’t been pimped on the show. That’s because they like to highlight numbers.

   Taylor is doing what he loves and I’m not worried about him. He will never have to work in a bank.

   Maybe I am cynical, but I think most of the peeps know what they are getting into when they sign that contract. The hand wringing over Taylor’s “treatment” is over the top. He’s having the time of his life and he would never have gotten where he is without AI. Plain and simple.

   I’m not worried about Taylor–and I agree he’s doing what he loves so good on him.

   My comment is more focused on the show and how they have to make winning important and having the winner “win”. The show loses a lot of oomph if the contestants are not “in it to win it…” heh…

   Perhaps it’s because Jordin is now a real threat to people’s favorites?

   I agree with this, it happens every year.

   No offense, but I think that’s just something people say to deflect criticism from their favorite Idol. I’m VERY neutral to Jordin (I could take or leave her), but yes, she’s been incredibly pimped, and undeservedly so in a few instances. I haven’t been paying attention to character/backstories this season (mainly because there really aren’t any) so I can’t speak towards TissueGate or FakeTearsGate, but I think part of the backlash is that she’s a lot more inconsistent than Melinda, and yet she’s constantly praised while Melinda often gets the “it wasn’t your best performance” routine. Eh. I dunno.

   Oh, by the way, Ken Barnes is reporting that Sundance got a record deal.

   Last year ,to me, was proof that votes don’t matter so I choose not to participate and I have spoken to quite a few people who feel the same way and they are also not voting. IMHO a Jordin / Blake final is what TPTB would prefer. The pimping of #4 from AI5 is so blatant that I would have to be comatose not to see it . I have changed from liking #4 to don’t like him at all now.
   Change of subject:: Eric & Danielle won the Amazing Race tonight. So glad the beauty queens lost. They were pretty on the surface but ugly clear to the bone. What nasty people they are.

   Wow, cricket. You don’t like #4 because he was pimped? It’s not his fault. I am not a huge fan of his music… it’s not my style of rock. He seems like a nice enough guy, though. I know many here don’t think so, but I do.

   This year is hard to predict. I’m guessing we will find out in hindsight who TCO are by who they sign.

   ETA: The pimpage last year also got on my nerves, but it’s over and I’ve let it go.

   Blake really has an AMAZING recording voice..
   I have all of his mp3’s and he is the oe who sells the most.

   And he will sell the most of records for sure.
   Just face Blake whether he wins or not is going places! He is ready for radio, current and original.
   As I said before all of his PRE AI songs are Awesome.
   I can’t wait for his recording career to start! Yay!

    NOLA - Thanks for the beatboxing article. I remember Doug E. Fresh from the 80’s. Wow, the memories! Also, just wanted to let you know that the grilled shrimp was DA BOMB. Absolutely incredible….you MUST try it sometime!

    I hope that the Sundance we first saw is the one that makes the cd. Something happened to him when he went to hollywierd and it wasn’t good. I don’t know if he choked or it was bad song choices but he lost himself in LA. Good luck to him . Too bad he didn’t last long enough to make some bucks on the tour. Hope he does well.

    3 black divas & a beatboxer are ‘Idol’s’ Top 4

    WHOEVER said that “American Idol” is racist is obviously not an avid viewer of the top-rated show. Proof that “AI” is anything but racist is the Top Four choices this year with three black divas dominating the competition and only one white guy.

    This is the first time in “American Idol” history that three black singers made it this far with a very big chance that two of them will go head-to-head in the finale, if the Blakes will allow that. Now that Justin Timberlake look-alike Chris Richardson is gone, there’s a huge possibility that his votes will go to his best buddy Blake…

    Jordin is actually half-white. She never came across as a “black diva” to me (neither has Melinda).
