Thanks. The girl can sing even though she looks/feels like Sayesha playin’ Beyonce. She really has a great potential as an actress.
Thank you for the videos and pictures. I am another one of those Cook fans who didn’t really get Syesha too much, but I have to say she can really sing. I too thought she just was incredible when she sang Listen. She sang from the heart and it was extremely impressive. I think she will have a great career in entertainment if not as a recording artist, but who knows. She could be the next Jordan Sparks on the Top 20 radio shows, too. She certainly has the voice for it. I wish her nothing but the best of luck.
Bless her heart. I think she’s young and has some more livin’ to do to create an identity for herself as an artist. I think once she breaks away from other artists and finds her own voice and has something to say through music, she will have a very big career. I’m also willing to bet her voice will get even stronger.

Yes, good for her! I agree with you, iamislove. Syesha is young and has some growing up to do. And when she does that, I think she is going to really get people’s attention. Syesha’s talent is awe-inspiring–that voice and her control of it is beautiful and powerful. Like her or not, I think it’s hard for many to disagree that Syesha was pretty darn consistent on the show and is proving to be the same during this tour. With more experience, she’ll get over any insecurities and learn how to carry herself as a “celebrity” and better connect with her fanbase.

Coming from a Syesha fan from the beginning, I extend a warm thanks to MJ for posting these videos. I love her voice, she’s an incredible singer. She’s a lovely young lady and I am sure that she will continue to hone her craft as all of them need and should want to. I’ve enjoyed watching her journey on the show to the stage. I wish her nothing but luck. I don’t think we’ve heard the last of Ms. Mercado.
abby, I’m glad you’re declaring your allegiance to Syesha. I’ve been a Syesha fan from the very beginning too. Cook was always #1 for me, but Syesha was right up there. By top five, I was really pushing for her (especially considering the awful treatment she often got from Randy and Simon, who obviously were biased against her for entertainment purposes. What would the show be without a David-off, right?). You do have to hand it to her for performing her butt off week after week with no major flops.
I’ve actually been “youtubing” Syesha’s AI performances more than Cook lately. Tis, tis, I know! Now that really says something coming from this die-hard Cook fan! I’m so sorry, David. Let’s kiss and make up!! hehe
