Allison Iraheta will sing the National Anthem before the 25th Annual Los Angeles Marathon on Sunday, March 21.

The LA Times talked to Allison Iraheta about the two times she ran the marathon:

“I ran the marathon before — two years in a row, actually,” she tells Idol Tracker. “But it will be a lot of fun to be watching and not running this year. Hopefully, I can bring a little motivation to those that are doing it for the first time.”

The starting line gun will fire at 7:20 a.m. just outside Dodger Stadium and immediately after Allison’s turn, but she’ll be sticking around to cheer on her old sister.

Allison Iraheta was interviewed during this past weekend’s Oscar luncheon in Los Angeles, CA. She talked about returning to Idol, her new single “Scars”, writing for her next album and more.

Allison’s album Just Like You was released in Japan yesterday, check out the bonus track “One More Reason” right HERE.

Allison is set to sing the National Anthem at the Los Angeles Marathon on March 21.

In the second episode of the Simon Fuller produced online reality show, If I Can Dream, the cast meets Kris Allen, Adam Lambert and Allison Iraheta at the big Kradison concert in New York City last month.

The scene only lasts about a minute, but it’s the most exciting thing in the entire episode which you can watch in full HERE.

There are a ton of Idol albums on the iTunes chart right now, no doubt helped by this awesome sale and the American Idol semi-final live round beginning this week

Topping the chart at the moment are Kris Allen at #8 and Allison Iraheta at #27 who appeared on the Idol  results show Thursday night.  A super nice boost for both!

After the jump, Kris Allen talks to FOX 25, Boston about his recent trip to Haiti and his upcoming appearance on tonight’s American Idol results show, 8/7c pm.

Kris will perform the Beatles’ “Let it Be”.  Later, the  the live recording will be available for download on iTunes, with proceeds going to Haiti relief.

Kris will also be urging viewers to call or text in donations to help fund the United Nations Foundation, the group he traveled with during his trip last week to the earthquake ravaged country.

Also on the bill tonight: Allison Iraheta will perform her next single, “Scars”.

According to Entertainment Weekly’s Michael Slezak (Here):

Allison Iraheta, fourth-place finisher from season 8 of American Idol, will perform her new single “Scars” during the show’s Thursday-night telecast (8 p.m. ET on Fox). A live performance by the red-headed rocker should provide momentary respite for the four season 9 semifinalists (two men, two women) who’ll get the boot during the course of the hour-long telecast. “Scars,” written by Toby Gad and Alyssa James, and produced by Gad, is a ballad from Iraheta’s 2009 debut Just Like You.

The episode will also feature Kris Allen performing, and sharing his experiences from his recent trip to Haiti…

Really happy to see Allison is getting a second single.  “Scars” is a good one–really shows off her vocal chops in a way that “Friday I’ll Be Over U” did not.
