@thedavidcook tweets: Oh and I brought a present back for everyone. We’ll be performing on idol this wednesday! Be sure to check it out!
What will David sing? He isn’t promoting a single at the moment, so your guess is as good as mine.
Orianthi had previously been announced as a musical guest for Wednesday, and Ke$ha tweeted earlier today, “Party time american idol woot t minus 3 dayz”.
Peeps going to Wednesday’s show report that Ke$ha’s name appears on the email sent out to ticket holders. It’s possible she’s taping an appearance to be aired later, but I doubt she’s be talking about it on twitter if that were the case…

See that little spec in a white cap sprinting across the legendary Abbey Road in London? That’s David Cook, currently in the UK to do some songwriting with partners, yet unknown.
“If anyone’s interested, go to abbey road’s website, and check out the webcam. Let me know if you see me,” tweeted David. A fan did, and screen-capped the above photo
It’s David’s first trip to the UK, and he is pretty damn excited, despite the airlines busting one of his guitars.

I agree with commenters, that both songs sound like old material and aren’t candidates for the new records both are working on.
Cook and Archie have both been busy writing new songs and are expected to release new albums later this year.

Meryl Davis and Charlie White, the Gold Medal winning Ice Dance champions skated to David Cook’s “Billie Jean” at the final exhibition show of the US National Figure Skating Championships. The exhibition took place last night (Jan 24).
If the pair take a medal in Vancouver, it’s possible they will perform the same routine at the upcoming Olympic skating exhibition. So, watch for that!
The routine starts at about the the 2 minute mark. I’m not a big ice skating fan, but these two are simply mesmerizing. Wow.
